ference to which they have been invited by
him, and through which France secks to ne-

    ‘Treaties of Italy.

Itis stated that the inability of General

cause of delay in perfecting arrangements for

    London, Dee. 27, noon.

Another of these fiendish outrages which
have characterized the operations of the
Fenians, has just been perpetrated in Dublin.
Telegrams from there received to-day has the
following particulars: — An unusual large
number of letters have been received at the
post office at Dublin directed to prominent
‘officials, and each one of those letters was
Jonded with explosive muterials, designed to
kill the person addressed. Several of the
policemen of the city were horribly mangled
by the explosion which occurred when they

_ were opened, It is not known how many of
these dangerous missives have been despatch-
    ed. Considerable excitement prevails both
in Dublia and elsewhere through the country
on this last outrage. The authorities are
actively engaged, and will no doubt probe the
    matter to the bottom.
