    25th for different parts of On-
    tario, where they will spend their
    holiday.

    visitors at the home of Mr. Mac-
    Leod’s brother-in-law and sister,
    Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ramsay,

    Mrs. Gordon MacArthur was a
    recent visitor to Northam, the
    guest of Mr. and Mrs. Richard
    Mrs. Stenning MacNevin, Char-
    lottetown, spent the weekend in
    Victoria West, a guest of her
    parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
    Smith.

    The auction sale held on the
    premises of the late Mr. Stirling
    Dyment, Springhill, was attend-
    ed by a large crowd. Mr. David
    Enman was the auctioneer.
    Congratulations are extended by
    friends here to Mr. and Mrs. Al-
    vin Bryant, Summerside, on their
    recent marriage.'Mr. Bryant was
    a former resident of North En-
    more. He is a member of the R.
    C.A.F, and is stationed at Up-
    lands, Ontario.

    Mr. Stanley Bryant was visi-

    ting Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ellis,
    Northam, recently.

    Miss Joan Hardy, teacher in
    Victaria West, spent the weekend
    in Freeland, with her parents,

    The funeral of Mrs. Artemus
    MacArthur was held in Vivtoria
    West on Thursday afternoon, Aug-
    ust 21st. The service in the church
    and at the grave was conducted
    by the Rev. Mr. Lee MacNauw-
    ghton.

    Friends of Mr. Robert Dalzell

    again entered the hospital for
