The funeral of Mrs. Artemus MacArthur was held in Vivtoria West on Thursday afternoon, Aug- ust 21st. The service in the church and at the grave was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Lee MacNauw- ghton. Mrs.. Gordon MacArthur and Mr, and Mrs. Gerald MacArthur and family were the recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mac- Arthur, Linkletter. They also vis- ited Corporal Ben and Mrs. And- rews, St. Eleanors, Mr. and Mrs. John Ballem, Montague, were weekend guests of Mr. Ballem’s brother and sis- ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clay- ton Ballem. Mrs.. Daniel MacLeod and Mrs. Martin Ladner, Victoria West, spent the past weekend in Hali- fax, N.S. guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley MacLeod. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Yeo and family, Saint John, N.B. are-spen- ding their holidays in Springhill and Harmony. ; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nesbitt, returned to their home in Port- land; Maine, after visiting friends in Springhill, Victoria West, Har- omy and vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin MacLean, Milo, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allison Raynor, Enmore. They also at tended service in the United Church, Victoria ‘West.
