    Bosronire. This is the name given to a
    new material manufactured by Messrs.
    Perry &Co. of London, into Tablets, Slates,
    Memorandum Books, Diaries, &e., and is
    an excellent cheap substitute for Ivory in
    the above named articles, as writing with a
    lead or colored pencil is easily erased with
    moisture. Messrs P. & Co. are also manu-
    facturers and patentees of an almost endless
    variety of useful articles in the Stationery
    rand Fancy Goods line. A very nice assort-
    ment of their Goods is on sale at Mrs.
    \Bremner’s Book and Stationery Store in
    Priuce Street.

    The Catholic Tea Party, which came off at
    Southwest on the 28d ult., was, we hear, a
    very successful uffair. There were nearly
    ‘two thousand persons present, and the sum

    GOVERNMENT ESTATES.

    LL persons desirous of availing them-

    selves of the provisions of the Act for
    the more speedy seetlement of Wilderness
    Lands, on the Government Estates, ure here-
    with notified, that no applications for said
    land will be entertained, until a survey
    is made of the lands so to be disposed of, and
    the fronts thereof staked off; and at certain
    dates, of which due notice by advertisement
    will be given. the Commissioner of Public
    Lands will attend at certain places, to receive
    applications from those who are desirous of
    becoming actual settlers of such lands, (none
    others need apply) and if approved of. pos-
    session will be given to such applicants, sub-
    ject to the provisions of the Act regulating
    the settlement of said Wilderness Lands.

    of any portion of the Wilderness Land, by
    cutting down or otherwise trespassing there-
    on; the Government Woodrangers being
    strictly charged to take immediate proceed-
    ings against all persons so found trespassing.
