    November, ‘The contents are a beautiful
    engraving, entitled the * Woeful Heart.” A
    brilliant fashion plate which the ladies will
    like to see. A tinted wood cut. ‘The * Life
    Side,” is growing in interest. - The other
    tales are equally good, but we cannot begin
    to describe it. Get one ladies and judge tor
    yourselves.

    The French fleet of iron clad war ves-
    sels destined for service in the Roman
    waters, lett Loulon under an Imperial or-
    der at six o'clock this morning.

    The troops whieh were designated to

    occasion of the first Gavibaldian alarm,and
    which have been encamped near the town,

    The Moniteur to-day says the feet at
    Toulon has been kept back at the request
    of Italy, but it has now sailed for the [tal-
    jan coust because no Cabinet has been
    formed at Florence and beeause Garibaldi
    is menacing the City of Rome.—This ac-
    tion of the neh Government it declares
    is not aggressive, as both Italy and Brance
    ave interested in the preservation of order
    and the vindication of law.

    A banquet was given yesterday by the
    Foreign Commissioners of the Exposition
    to the French members, at which speeches
    were manifested, M. Romder, Minister
    of Foreign AfMairs, was present, and made
    an important and significant speech, Ie
    alluded to the present crisis in the Italian
    Peniusula, and said he hoped Ltaly would
    not under the influence of bad passions be
    led to engage ina war with France, but
    that she would emerge from this great na-
    tional trial purified and a friend of order.

    Florence, Oct, 27.

    Two battles have been fought between
    the Volunteers under Garibaldi and the
    Papal troops. ‘The first took place at
    Monti Rotondo and the second was fought

    further south at ‘Torrette. In both of
    these engagements, which weru of a des-

    perate character, the iuyaders were victo-
    vious, and Garibaldi has now arvived
    before Rome with 10,000 men under his
    command,

    iB pursuance of a Decretal Order, made by
    His Honor the Master of the Rolls in this
    cause, bearing date the 20th day of August
    last, there will be sold by PUBLIC AUCTION
    on the premises, at Dunk River, in Prince
    County, in this Island, on WEDNESDAY,
    the 6th day of November next, at the hour of
    i2 o’clock, noon, all that Valuable Freehold
    Farin, or tract of Land situate on Township
    No. 26, containing 125 acres, a little more or
    less, with the Messuage, Mills, Buildings and
    appurtenances tu the sume belonging, of which
    George M. Wright, the father of the above
    named infants, lately died seized and possess

    ed,

    ‘The Farm and Premises above mentioned
    are situated on the Main Road, between Som-
    erset (formerly South-West Settlement) and
    Freetown, Bedeque; having a frontage of 125
    chains on the said Road, and being 10 chains
    in breadth, a little more or less,

    The land is of superior quality, about sixty
    acres of which are eleared and ina good state
    for cultivation, the residue being covered with
    a fine growth of hard and soft wood. The
    principal Dwelling House, a 14 storey Build-

    ing, is 36 by 28 feet, wity a kitchen in the
    rear 26 by 18 feet; comjguous to which ure
    Wood House, Carria House, Stables,

    Wrokshop and Barn, the latter 45 by 30 feet,
    ‘The Mills, comprising a very superior Grist
    Mill (with three pairs runners), Shingle, Saw,
    and Carding Mills, are propelled by a power-
    ful stream; and their situation for burgness
    purposes is considered to be unequalledin the
    Island, ‘The property will be offered in three
    separate lots or sections, One lot comprising
    the Mills, with a Cottage 20 by 18 feet, and a
    Workshop 18 by 15 feet, for the use of a
    Miller, with 25 acres of Land attached. The
    second Lot will comprise the Farm proper,
    consisting of about 75 acres, wish the Dwell-
    ing House mad other Buildi:gs above des-
    cribed; and the remaining 25 acres, being the
    northern section of the tract, and all cleared,
    will form the third Lot.

    Should intending purchasers prefer it, the
    whole property will be sold in one Lot,

    nus.—Ten per cent. of the purchase

    mopey to be paid down at the time of sale,
    ef the residue of one-third of the purchase
    money, 234 per cent. upon the execution of
    the Deeds. ‘Tho remaining two-thirds to be
    seCured by Mortgage on the premises in man-
    ner more definitely to bo expressed in the
    conditions of Sale.
