Meetings were held irregularly throughout the year. Sometimes
there would be two meetings in one month and then for a stretch of
several months, there would be none. Lectures started at 4:00 P.Meé->
usually on a week-day. Lacking slide projectors and movie films
as visual aids, lecturers brought specimens or examples of their
subject and frequently prepared elaborate illustrations.
Afterword
While doing research on Francis Bain in the Public Archives, I
discovered the minute book of the Natural History Society of Prince
Edward Island and found it to be very interesting. This article is
the first in a series which will be published during 1978. If you
wish to browse through the minute book, it can be found in the Public
Archives, Confederation Center (Accession #2541., Item 6).
