The first operation is to loosen from the coats of the
Stumack and bowels the variousimpuwricies and crudi-
ties constantly settling round them; and to remove
lthe hardened fwces whieh collect in the convoiu-
tions of the small intestines. Other medicines only
| partially cleanse these, and leave such collected
masses bebind as to produce habitual Costiveness
with all its train of evile, or sudden Diarrhwa
with its imminen dangers. This fact is well-known
to all regular anatomists who examine the buman
bowels after death; and hence theprejudices of
these well iaformed men against the quack medi-
cines of the age. The second effect of the VEGE-
TABLE LIFE MEDICINES is to cleanse the kid-
neys and the bladder; aud, by this means, the liver
and lungs, the bealthfal action of which entirely
depends upon the regularity of the urinary organs.
' The blood, which takes its red color from the agency
âof the liver and lungs, betcre it passes into the
heart, being thus purified by them, and nourished
by food coming from a clean stomach, courses freely
through the veins, renews every part of the system,
and triumphantly muunts the bauer of health in
the blooming cheek.
The following are among the distressing variety
_of human diseasesin which the VEGETABLE LIFE
/ MEDICINES are well known to be infallible.
DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleansing the first
and second stomachs, and creating a flow of pure
healthy bile, instead of the stale and acrid kind;
Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, Heartburn, Headache,
Restiessness, Ill-Temper, Langour, and Melancholy,
which are the general symptoms of Dyspepsia, will
vanish, as & natura) consequence of its cure.
COSTIVENESS, by cleansing the whole length of
the intestines with asulventprovess, and without vio-
lence: all violent purges leave the bowols costive
within two days.
DIARRH@A and CHOLERA, by removing the
| sharp acrid fluids by which these complaints are oc-
casioned, and by promoting the lubricative secretion
of the mucuous membrane.
FEVERS of all kinds, by restoring the blood to a
regular circulation, through the process of perspi-
ration in such cases, and the thereugh selution eo:
all intestinal obstruction ia others.
The Lire Mepicines have been known to cure
| Rheumatism perwanently in three weeks, and Gour
in baif that time, by removing loca) inflammation
| from the muscles and ligaments of the joints.
| Dropsies of all kinds, by freeing and strengthen-
| ing the kidneys and bladder; they operate most de-
lightfally on these important organs, and bence they
| bave ever been found a certain remedy for the
worst cases of Gravel.
| Also Worms, by dislodging from the turnings of
the bowels the slimy matter ty which these creatures
| adhere.
| Asthma and Consumption, by relieving the air
| vessels of the iungs from the mucous which even
| slight colds will occasion, and which, it not removed,
| becomes bardened, and produces those dreadful dis-
| euses,
| Scurvy, Ulcers and Inveterate Sores, by the perfect
purity which these LIFE MEDICINES give to the
| blood, and al] the humors.
| Scorbutic Eruptions aud Bad Complezions, by their
alternative effect upon the fluids tha: teed the skin,
and the morbid state of which occasions ail erup-
| tive complaints, sallow, cloudy, and other disagree-
| able complexions.
| The use of these Pills for a very short time will
effect an entire cure of Salt Rheum, and a striking
improvement in the clearness of the skin. Common
Colds and Injivenza will always be cured by one
dose, or by two even in the worst cases,

The first operation is to loosen from the coats of the
Stumack and bowels the variousimpuwricies and crudi-
ties constantly settling round them; and to remove
lthe hardened fwces whieh collect in the convoiu-
tions of the small intestines. Other medicines only
| partially cleanse these, and leave such collected
masses bebind as to produce habitual Costiveness
with all its train of evile, or sudden Diarrhwa
with its imminen dangers. This fact is well-known
to all regular anatomists who examine the buman
bowels after death; and hence theprejudices of
these well iaformed men against the quack medi-
cines of the age. The second effect of the VEGE-
TABLE LIFE MEDICINES is to cleanse the kid-
neys and the bladder; aud, by this means, the liver
and lungs, the bealthfal action of which entirely
depends upon the regularity of the urinary organs.
' The blood, which takes its red color from the agency
âof the liver and lungs, betcre it passes into the
heart, being thus purified by them, and nourished
by food coming from a clean stomach, courses freely
through the veins, renews every part of the system,
and triumphantly muunts the bauer of health in
the blooming cheek.
The following are among the distressing variety
_of human diseasesin which the VEGETABLE LIFE
/ MEDICINES are well known to be infallible.
DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleansing the first
and second stomachs, and creating a flow of pure
healthy bile, instead of the stale and acrid kind;
Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, Heartburn, Headache,
Restiessness, Ill-Temper, Langour, and Melancholy,
which are the general symptoms of Dyspepsia, will
vanish, as & natura) consequence of its cure.
COSTIVENESS, by cleansing the whole length of
the intestines with asulventprovess, and without vio-
lence: all violent purges leave the bowols costive
within two days.
DIARRH@A and CHOLERA, by removing the
| sharp acrid fluids by which these complaints are oc-
casioned, and by promoting the lubricative secretion
of the mucuous membrane.
FEVERS of all kinds, by restoring the blood to a
regular circulation, through the process of perspi-
ration in such cases, and the thereugh selution eo:
all intestinal obstruction ia others.
The Lire Mepicines have been known to cure
| Rheumatism perwanently in three weeks, and Gour
in baif that time, by removing loca) inflammation
| from the muscles and ligaments of the joints.
| Dropsies of all kinds, by freeing and strengthen-
| ing the kidneys and bladder; they operate most de-
lightfally on these important organs, and bence they
| bave ever been found a certain remedy for the
worst cases of Gravel.
| Also Worms, by dislodging from the turnings of
the bowels the slimy matter ty which these creatures
| adhere.
| Asthma and Consumption, by relieving the air
| vessels of the iungs from the mucous which even
| slight colds will occasion, and which, it not removed,
| becomes bardened, and produces those dreadful dis-
| euses,
| Scurvy, Ulcers and Inveterate Sores, by the perfect
purity which these LIFE MEDICINES give to the
| blood, and al] the humors.
| Scorbutic Eruptions aud Bad Complezions, by their
alternative effect upon the fluids tha: teed the skin,
and the morbid state of which occasions ail erup-
| tive complaints, sallow, cloudy, and other disagree-
| able complexions.
| The use of these Pills for a very short time will
effect an entire cure of Salt Rheum, and a striking
improvement in the clearness of the skin. Common
Colds and Injivenza will always be cured by one
dose, or by two even in the worst cases,

* the MEDICAL ADVISER, by Watrer
De Roos, M. D, for the class of diseases upon which
it treats is undoubtedly the best und must soundly
practical book which has come under our notive,

especia!ly recommended. ~The kn wiedge it imparts
must come some time, and bappy they who du not

case, and few indeed are they which are nut s0,~â

treatment of these complaints.âSimpie and inex.
pensive, every suiferer may cure himself speedily,
privately, and at the Jeast possible cust.
From long practical observation of the treatment
pursued iv the most famous Institutions of this coun-
try and the continent, for those diseases referred to
in the above work, the Proprietor has bad somewhat
upusual facilities for acquiring that unitorm success
whieh bas hitherto characterized bis practice, in
which the distressing consequences resulting frow
the injurious employment of mereury, capivi, sir.
saparilla, and similar dangerous medicines are en-
tirely obviated. Lasting benefit in these caces cnn
only be reasonably expected at the hands of those
who devote their chief attention to such diseases;
and te such only can confidence be safely catended,
Dr. De R. refers with pride to the numbers he has
been instrumental in restoring to beulth anc happi-
ness, whilst to ali who need such aid be offers every
assurance of speedy restoration.
Foreign Resipenrs can be successfully treated by
correspondence,on sending the detail of their cases,
with a Bank note or Bill on a London beouse for ÂŁ5
or ÂŁ10, in order that a package of medicires to
meet the exigencies of the case, way be sent out by
next mail, thus avoiding the protracted suflering and
unnecessary joss of valuabl. time, which wust other-
