desired etrect and full satisfaction to those who took
it. As fast as our people try it, they agree there has

From Rev. Robt. Stratton, Bristol, England.

been well for some mouths,â
From Mrs. Jane EB. Rice, a well-known and much-
esteemed bady of Deunisville, Cape May Co., N. J.

I had for several years a very troublesome
humor in my face, which grew constantly worse
until it disfigured my features and became an intol-
erable affliction. I tried almost every thing a man
could of both advice and medicine, but without any
relief whatever, until I took your SARSAPARILLA,
It immediately made my face worse, as you told mo
it might for a time; but in a few weeks the new
| skin Began to form under the blotches, and con-
tinued until my face is as smooth as any bodyâs,
and I am without any symptoms of the disease that

Pr. Robt. Sawin, Houston St., New York.
* DR. AYER. I seldom fail to remove Eruptions
and Scrofulous Sores by the persevering use of your
SARSAPARILLA, and I have just now cured an attack
of Malignant Erysipelas with it. No alterative we
possess equals the SARS4PAKILLA you have sup-
plied to the profession as well as to the people.â
From J. E. Johnston, Esq., Wakeman, Ohio,
«For twelve ~ears, I had the yellow Erysipelas
on my right ar:a, during which time } tried all the
celebrated physicians I could reach, and took hun-
dreds of dollars worth of medicines. The ulcers
were so bad that the cords became visible, and the
doctors decided that my arm must be amputated. I
began taking your SARSAPARILLA. âTook two bot-
tles, and some of your Pitts. Together they have
cured me. I am now as well and sound as any body,
Being in a public place, my case is known to every
body in this community, and excites the wonder of
all.â
From Hon. Henry Monro, M. P. P., of Newcastle,
C. W., a leading member of the Canadian Parlia-
ment.
â1 have used your SARSAPARILLA in ~~ family,
for general debility, and for a the blood,
with very beneficial results, and feel contidence in
commending it to the afllicted,â
St. Anthonyâs Fire, Rose, Salt Rheum,
Scald Head, Sore Eyes.
From Harvey Sickler, Esq., the able editor of the
Tunkharnock Democrat, Pennsylvania.
* Our only child, about three years of age, was
attacked by pimples on his forehead. They rapidly
spread until they formed a loathsome and virulent
sore, which covered his face, and actually blinded
his eyes for some days. A skilful physician applied
nitrate of silver and other remedies, without any
apparent effect. For fifteen days we guarded his
hands, lest with them he should tear open the fes-
tering and corrupt wound which covered his whole
face. Having tried every thing else we had any
hope from, we began giving your SARSAPARILLA,
and applying the iodide of potash lotion, as you
direct. The sore began to heal when we had given
the first bottle, and was well when we had finished
the second. The chiidâs eyelashes, which had come
out, grew again, and he is now as healthy and fair
as any other. The whole neighborhood predicte
that the ehild must die.â
Syphilis and Mercurial Disease.
From Dr. Hiram Sloat, of St. Louis, Missouri.
âTI find your SARSAPARILLA a more effectual
remedy for the secondary symptoms of Syphilis
and for syphilitic disease âhan any other we possess.
The profession are indebted to you for some of the
best medicines we have.â
From A. J. French, M. D., an eminent physician of
Lawrence, Mass., who is a prominent member of
the Legislature of Massachusetts.
âDr. AYER. My dear Sir: I have found your
SARSAPARILLA an excellent remedy for Syphilis,
both of the primary and secondary type, and effee-
tual in some cases that were too obstinate to yield
to other remedies. I do not know what we can em-
ploy with more certainty of success, where a power-
alterative is required,â
Mr. Chas. S. Van Liew, of New Brunswicl:, N.J.,
had dreadful ulcers on his legs, caused by the abuse
of mereury, or mercurial disease, which grew more
and more aggravated for years, in spite of every
remedy or treatment that could be applied, until the
-rsevering use of AYERâS SARSAPARILLA relieved
iim. Few cases can be found more inveterate and
distressing than this, and it took several dozen
bottles to cure him.
Leucorrhea, Whites, Female Weakness,
are wage produced by internal Serofulous Ul-
ceration, and are very often cured by the alterative
effect of this SARSAPARILLA. Some cases require,
however, in aid of the SARSAPARILLA, the skilful
application of local remedies.
From the well-known and widely-celebrated Dr.
Jacob Morrill, of Cincinnati.
âTI have found your SARSAPARILLA an excellent
alterative in diseases of females. Many cases of
Irregularity, Leucorrheea, Internal Ulceration, and
local debility, arising from the scrofulous diathesis,
have yielded to it, and there are few that do not,
when its effect is properly aided by local treatment.â
A ley, unwilling to allow the publication of her
name, writes :
â My daughter and myself have been cured of a
very debilitating Leueorrhea of long standing, by
two bottles of your SARSAPARILLA.â
Rheumatism, Gout, Liver Complaint, Dys-
pepsia, Heart Disease, Neuralgia,
when caused by Scrofula in the system, are rapidly
cured by this Ext. SARSAPARILLA.
AYERâS
CATHARTIC PILLS
possess so many advantages over the other
purgatives in the market, and their superior
virtues are so universally known, that we need
not do more than to assure the public their
quality is maintained equal to the best it ever
has been, and that they may be depended on
to do all that they have ever done.

A LIVING DEATH,

healthy condition.
Befure presenting this wonderful cleansing rem-
edy to the North American public, Dr. Kapway
| was determined to test its medicinal powers for the
| cure of the class of diseases for which it is prescribed
in the South American Provinces, ag it is a fact well
knowa to all physiologists that
SCKOFULA, LEPROSY, SYPHILIS,
| and its horrible train of concomitants, prevail in the |
tropical regions of the South, to a much greater and
more malignant degree than in the North. In fact
there is scarcely a family in any of the South Am-
/erican Provinces that is free from Scrofula, or its
| kindred diseases. It runs io the blood of all its
d | people, and Las become established as a constitu-
| tional infirmity, and has baflled the skill of their)
best physicians. With knowledge of these facts, |
Dr. Rapway was determined to test the accuracy of
RADWAYâS RENOVATING RESOLVENT, |
which was prepared expressly to mect the exigen-|
| cies of the diseases, as developed in the tropics.
Large supplies were sent to Drazil, Buenos Ayres,
(Chili, Peru, Equador, Venezuela, Bolivia, New |
Grenada, andto several islands of the Spanish main, |
and was thoroughly tested by Physicians and the |
Priesthood, and is now the official remedy used by |
the Physicians, under the name of â Sclutivo Reno-
vador de Radway,â (the Spanish for Radwayâs Re-
novating Resolvent,) in the treatwent of Scrofula, |
Syphilis, Uicers, Tumors, Prolapsus Uteri, Elephan-
tiasis, Erysipelas, Saint Anthonyâs Fire, St. Vitusâ)
Dance, Fever Sores, all diseases of the Skin, humors |
iu the Blood, white swellings, Nodes, Cankers, sores
in the mouth, deafness, discharges from the eyes,
ears, and nose, glandular swellings, dropsy and
constitutional diseases. Such bas been the unpar-
alleled success of this remedy in curing these her-|
rivle disoases in the tropics, that we do not hesitate |
to promise all the sufferers with Scrofula and erup- |
tive diseases among our own people, with speedy |
restoration to sound and permanent health.
It is superior wo all known remedies in popular)
use ag a Cleansing syrup for
PURIFYING THE BLOOD,
and removing from tbe skin Pimples, Blotches, Tet-
ter, Rash and other offensive marks, and will in a)
few days give a pure, Clear and roseate hue of health |
and beauty to the face and nails, and brilliancy to |
the eyes. |
It is a pure and innocent preparation, all-power- |
ful to du good, but never does injury.
IMPORTANT TO PARENTS.
There is no medicine in the known wor!d, or phy- |
sician, that has ever claimed the skill of eradicating |
from the system diseases inherited, by transmission, |
from parent to child. This great power we clain |
for RApwAyâs KENOVATING KESOLVENT; and we)
religiously declare, that if Radwayâs Renovating |
Resvulvent is given when the symptoms of any in-
herited disease are first exhibited, it will eradicate
the same from the system. Iw the early stages of
Pkthisis or Consumption, Fits, Scrofula, and in cases
of sore head, Ulcers, Tumors, Hacking Cough, Bron-
chitis, the use of Rapwayâs Renovating KeEsouL-
VEN? will exterminate the transmitted disease from
the system, and make (what the parents neglected)
a sound and healthy body.
CHRONIC DISEASE.
Another class of disesses that no other medicines
or the most skilful physicians have succeeded in
achieving, more than in merely palliating the suf-
ferings of the patient, which Radwayâs Resolvent
will positively eradicate, is that of Chronic Diseases
that have infested the system for years, such as
Cbronic Rheumatism, Gout, Scrofula, Dyspepsia,
Syphilis, and diseases induced by the injudicious use
of Calomel, Mercury, Quinine ; diseases of the Liver, |
Spleen, Gall, Bladder, Kidneys, Spine, &c., all of
which diseases Radwayâs Renovating Resolvent will
eradicate, aud secure to the patient a new lease ol
life.
The price of *Radwayâs Renoyating Resolvent is
$1.00 per bottle, Dose, a tea-spoon, twice full, half
an hour after each meal. Sold by druggists and
merchants everywhere.

| Y\UESE Medicines have now been before the

which they are compounded, and upon which they
consequently act. It was to their manifost and sen-

The following are among the distressing variety
of human diseasesin which the VEGETABLE LIFE

DYSPEPSIA, by thoroughly cleansing the first

healthy bile, instead of the stale and acrid kind;
| Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, Heartburn, Headache,
Restlessness, Ill-Temper, Langour, and Melancholy,

RADWAYâS READY RELIEF)
Possesees such wonderful remedial powers as to cure |
so many discases of apparently opposite phenomena? |
We reply that Kadwayâs Keady Relief chief and |
most important remedial efficacy, is evinced in the |
immediate arrest of pain, and its potency in the
treatment of such diseases and maladies, where pain |
is a concomitant of the disease.
Disease, like the storm, gives unmistakeable signs
of its approach. At first the threatened patient ex-
periences a slight discomfort, this followed with pain |
tc a greater or less extent, and other symptoms fol-_
low in rapid succession. It is im this condition of |
the system where Radwayâs Ready Kelief will be-
found all-potent. Its administration, either inter- |
nally or externally, as the seat of pain indicates,
will arrest the progress of the threatened disease, |
and quickly relicve the patient from all pain or dis-
comfort. i
If people, on the firet indication of uneasiness or
pain, either slight or severe, would take a dose of
Radwayâs Ready Relief, not one in a thousand weuld
ever be troubled with sickness.
WHEN THREATENED WITH
Croup, Diptheria, influenza, Sore Throat, Scarlet
Fever, Typhoid Fever, Pneumonia, Bilious Fever,
Small Pox, Measles, Fever and Ague, Chiils and
tery, Cholera, Cramps and Spasms,âlet Radwayâs
Ready Relief be freely used, and, ina short time, all
pain and uneasiness will cease, and the threatened
discase expelled from the system.
IF SEIZED
With either of the above diseases, the use of RAD-
WAYâS READY RELIEF will ensure a speedy
cure.
âIT CURES SO MANY DISEASES,
** And therefore Iâ1) have none of it,â says the skep-
tic; now we appeal to the common sense of any rea-
sonable being who bas had the least experience in|
medicine taking, or business relations with Physi-|
cians, if this is sound reasoning.
RADWAYâS READY RELIEF
Is not recommended by us, nor prescribe? for so
many varieties of disease as every physician in the
practice of medicine, prescribes Calomel, Mercury,
of the profession. It is @ well knewp fact that in
ninety cases out of one hundred, no matter what may
be the name of the disease or the condition of the |
patient, Calomel forms the important and the most |
active agent of the prescription; and if the symp-
toms of the disease are such as to leave ary doubt in
the mind of the physician as to arriving at a decided
conclusion what to give, he gives Calomel. This is
an ancient landmark of the profession, which no in-
novation has ever been suffered to alter.
WEIGII FACTS.
When we tell the public that the ve of Radwayâs
Ready Relief will cure the sick of certain diseases;
that it will stop paiu in a few minutes aftgr its ap- |
plication; that it will protect the system against at-
tacks of all malarious, contagious and infectious dis-
eases, we have the facts to establish the truth of our
statements, acknowledged by thousands who have
proved its unfailing powers on their own persons. Go
where you will, speak of Radwayâs Keady Relief in
any assemblage of persons, some one or more will
bear witness of deriving benefit from its use. .
IN MILITARY CAMPS.
There is no place so well calculated to test the use-
fulness of a specific medicine as a military camp.
Radwayâs Ready Kelief has been used in almost every
camp throughout the Grand Arwy of the Union with
the happiest success. Letters from Brigade and Re-
gimental surgecus, officers, and privates assure us
that Radwayâs Ready Relief has contributed more to
the protection of the troops against disease, and to
the use and comfort of the sick than all other med-
icines used or means suggested by the medical au-
thorities.

CHRONIC RHEUMATISM, ASTHMA,
SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.
Let those who cannot enjoy an hourâs calm sleep,
make a trial of it. Wm. Sydney Myers, Esq., of the
Havana (Cuba) Press, well known to the New York,
New Orleans and London (England) Press, says that
for twenty years he had becn a sufferer from ACUTE
CHRONIC KHEUMATISM, and for one week had
not slept an hour at any one time. He applied Rad-
wayâs Keady Relief, and felt immediately relieved,
and slept soundly, and awoke in the morning free
from pain. Its continued use cured him.
General Jose Villamil, Commander-in-Chief of the
}army of Ecuador, S. A., had been afflicted with
ASTHMA for TWENTY YEARS, could not lay
down in his bed without subjecting himself to violent
paroxysms of coughing. The first application of the
Ready Relief gaye him the first calim. undisturbed

of other cases could be adduced, if necessary, but the
best evidence to those poor disturbed sleepless suf-

REVIEWS AND NOTICES,
âTo be your own counsel or your own doctor, en-
tails risks that have become proverbial to a degres
that prevents much good resolution from taking any
benefit or advantage when reasonably offered. Sus-
picion begets irresolution, and where there is no eon-
fidence good results seldom follow. Medical books
are a fie d for the faculty alone, and the publie act
wisely in refraining from theirstady. * Drixk deep»
or taste not the Pierianspring,â is good advice where
the uninformed mind, listening to its own appreben-
sions is oftener ready to imagine than use its eool
judgment. There is ove class of medieal lore, how-
ever, thatstands in a position somewhat exceptionah
to our remark, and which treats on disorders and
irregularities in which morality is offended. For
this reason the patient too often suffers in secret, or
| pursues in ignorance practices that daily bring tim
| into a more hopeless condition for want of friendly
âadvice. To such we recommend a perusal of the
âMedical Adviserâ of Walter De Roos, M. D., of
London, an established Physician, graduate and
licentiate of all the regular institutions of London
and Paris; and who bas made nervous disorders and
their baneful origin bis partievlar study, rnd obtain-
ed such a practice in this branch of therapeutics, as
qualifies him to be a safe and competent adviser.â
| County Chronicle, May 7th, 1861.
âThe MEDICAL ADVISER, by Wattrere
De Roos, M. D., for the class of diseasos upon whieh.
it treats is undoubtedly the best and most soundly
practical book which has come under our notice.
The author is aman of most enlarged experience. ââ
âDeby Telegraph, June 29h, 1861.
To those who contemplate marriage its perusal is
pecially ded. âThe knowledge it imparts
must come some time, and happy they whe do not
possess it too late. âCure is certain in every curable
case, and few indeed are they which are not se.â
It is calculated to effect a complete revolution in the
treatment of these complaints.âSimple and inex-
pensive, every sufferer may cure himself speedily,
privately, and at the least possible cost.
From Jong practical observation of the treatment
pursued in the mest famous Institutions of this coun-
try and the continent, for those diseases referred to:
in the above work, the Proprietor bas had somewhat
unusual facilities for acquiring that uniform success
which has hitherto characterized his practice, in
which the distressing consequences resulting from
the injurious employment of mercury, capivi, sar-
saparilla, and similar dangerous medicines are en~
tirely obviated. Lasting benefit in these cases can
only be reasonably expected at the hands of those
who devote their chief attention to such diseases;
and te such only can confidence be safely extended.
Dr. De R. refers with pride to the numbers he has
been instrumental! in restoring to health and happi-
ness, whilst to all who need such aid he offers every
assurance of speedy restoration.
Foreien Resipents can be successfully treated by
correspondence,on sending the detail of their eases,
with a k note or Bill on a London house for ÂŁ5
or ÂŁ10, in order that a package of medicires to.
meet the exigencies of the case, may be sent out by
next mail, thus avoiding the protracted suffering and
unnecessary loss of valuable time, which wust other-
wise occur.

instances proved their superiority over every other
advertised remedy fur Spermatorrhora, languor, las-
situde, depression of spirits, irritability, anger, ex-
citement, needless fear, distaste and incapacity for
society, study or business; indigestion, pains in the
side, palpitation of the heart, giddiness, noises in
the head, impotency, impediments to marriage, &c.
This medicine strengthens the vitality of the whole
system, gives energy to the muscles and nerves, thus
speedily removes nervous complaints,renovates the
impaired powers of lite, and invigorates the most
shattered constitution. For skin eruptions, sore
throat, pains in the bones, and all those diseases in
which mercury, sarsaparilla, &c. are too often em-
ployed in vain, to the serious detriment of health,
its surprising efficacy has only to Le tested to be ap-
preciated.
As these complaints if neglected become chronic
or incurable, sufferers will do well before they waste
valuable time in seeking aid from instruments, and
other absurdities professing to supersede medicines,
to make fair trial of a remedy, which concocted on
unerring scientific principles, cannot fail, and may
be carried about the person, or left upon the toilet
table, without exciting a suspicion of its nature.

I had for several years a very troublesome
humor in my face, which grew constantly worse
until it disfigured my features and became an intol-
erable affliction. I tried almost every thing a man
could of both advice and medicine, but without any
relief whatever, until I took your SARSAPARILLA,
It immediately made my face worse, as you told mo
it might for a time; but in a few weeks the new
| skin Began to form under the blotches, and con-
tinued until my face is as smooth as any bodyâs,
and I am without any symptoms of the disease that
1 know of. I enjoy perfect health, and without a
doubt owe it to your SARSAPARSLLA.â

* DR. AYER. I seldom fail to remove Eruptions
and Scrofulous Sores by the persevering use of your
SARSAPARILLA, and I have just now cured an attack
of Malignant Erysipelas with it. No alterative we
possess equals the SARS4PAKILLA you have sup-
plied to the profession as well as to the people.â
From J. E. Johnston, Esq., Wakeman, Ohio,
«For twelve ~ears, I had the yellow Erysipelas
on my right ar:a, during which time } tried all the
celebrated physicians I could reach, and took hun-
dreds of dollars worth of medicines. The ulcers
were so bad that the cords became visible, and the
doctors decided that my arm must be amputated. I
began taking your SARSAPARILLA. âTook two bot-
tles, and some of your Pitts. Together they have
cured me. I am now as well and sound as any body,
Being in a public place, my case is known to every
body in this community, and excites the wonder of
all.â
From Hon. Henry Monro, M. P. P., of Newcastle,
C. W., a leading member of the Canadian Parlia-
ment.
â1 have used your SARSAPARILLA in ~~ family,
for general debility, and for a the blood,
with very beneficial results, and feel contidence in
commending it to the afllicted,â
St. Anthonyâs Fire, Rose, Salt Rheum,
Scald Head, Sore Eyes.
From Harvey Sickler, Esq., the able editor of the
Tunkharnock Democrat, Pennsylvania.
* Our only child, about three years of age, was
attacked by pimples on his forehead. They rapidly
spread until they formed a loathsome and virulent
sore, which covered his face, and actually blinded
his eyes for some days. A skilful physician applied
nitrate of silver and other remedies, without any
apparent effect. For fifteen days we guarded his
hands, lest with them he should tear open the fes-
tering and corrupt wound which covered his whole
face. Having tried every thing else we had any
hope from, we began giving your SARSAPARILLA,
and applying the iodide of potash lotion, as you
direct. The sore began to heal when we had given
the first bottle, and was well when we had finished
the second. The chiidâs eyelashes, which had come
out, grew again, and he is now as healthy and fair
as any other. The whole neighborhood predicte
that the ehild must die.â
Syphilis and Mercurial Disease.
From Dr. Hiram Sloat, of St. Louis, Missouri.
âTI find your SARSAPARILLA a more effectual
remedy for the secondary symptoms of Syphilis
and for syphilitic disease âhan any other we possess.
The profession are indebted to you for some of the
best medicines we have.â
From A. J. French, M. D., an eminent physician of
Lawrence, Mass., who is a prominent member of
the Legislature of Massachusetts.
âDr. AYER. My dear Sir: I have found your
SARSAPARILLA an excellent remedy for Syphilis,
both of the primary and secondary type, and effee-
tual in some cases that were too obstinate to yield
to other remedies. I do not know what we can em-
ploy with more certainty of success, where a power-
alterative is required,â
Mr. Chas. S. Van Liew, of New Brunswicl:, N.J.,
had dreadful ulcers on his legs, caused by the abuse
of mereury, or mercurial disease, which grew more
and more aggravated for years, in spite of every
remedy or treatment that could be applied, until the
-rsevering use of AYERâS SARSAPARILLA relieved
iim. Few cases can be found more inveterate and
distressing than this, and it took several dozen
bottles to cure him.
Leucorrhea, Whites, Female Weakness,
are wage produced by internal Serofulous Ul-
ceration, and are very often cured by the alterative
effect of this SARSAPARILLA. Some cases require,
however, in aid of the SARSAPARILLA, the skilful
application of local remedies.
From the well-known and widely-celebrated Dr.
Jacob Morrill, of Cincinnati.
âTI have found your SARSAPARILLA an excellent
alterative in diseases of females. Many cases of
Irregularity, Leucorrheea, Internal Ulceration, and
local debility, arising from the scrofulous diathesis,
have yielded to it, and there are few that do not,
when its effect is properly aided by local treatment.â
A ley, unwilling to allow the publication of her
name, writes :
â My daughter and myself have been cured of a
very debilitating Leueorrhea of long standing, by
two bottles of your SARSAPARILLA.â
Rheumatism, Gout, Liver Complaint, Dys-
pepsia, Heart Disease, Neuralgia,
when caused by Scrofula in the system, are rapidly
cured by this Ext. SARSAPARILLA.

to do all that they have ever done.

A LIVING DEATH,
| And restore him to his friends in a sound, and
healthy condition.
It is superior wo all known remedies in popular)
use ag a Cleansing syrup for
PURIFYING THE BLOOD,

ter, Rash and other offensive marks, and will in a)
few days give a pure, Clear and roseate hue of health |
and beauty to the face and nails, and brilliancy to |
the eyes. |
It is a pure and innocent preparation, all-power- |
ful to du good, but never does injury.
IMPORTANT TO PARENTS.
There is no medicine in the known wor!d, or phy- |
sician, that has ever claimed the skill of eradicating |
from the system diseases inherited, by transmission, |
from parent to child. This great power we clain |
for RApwAyâs KENOVATING KESOLVENT; and we)
religiously declare, that if Radwayâs Renovating |
Resvulvent is given when the symptoms of any in-
herited disease are first exhibited, it will eradicate
the same from the system. Iw the early stages of
Pkthisis or Consumption, Fits, Scrofula, and in cases
of sore head, Ulcers, Tumors, Hacking Cough, Bron-
chitis, the use of Rapwayâs Renovating KeEsouL-
VEN? will exterminate the transmitted disease from
the system, and make (what the parents neglected)
a sound and healthy body.
CHRONIC DISEASE.
Another class of disesses that no other medicines
or the most skilful physicians have succeeded in
achieving, more than in merely palliating the suf-
ferings of the patient, which Radwayâs Resolvent
will positively eradicate, is that of Chronic Diseases
that have infested the system for years, such as
Cbronic Rheumatism, Gout, Scrofula, Dyspepsia,
Syphilis, and diseases induced by the injudicious use
of Calomel, Mercury, Quinine ; diseases of the Liver, |
Spleen, Gall, Bladder, Kidneys, Spine, &c., all of
which diseases Radwayâs Renovating Resolvent will
eradicate, aud secure to the patient a new lease ol
life.
The price of *Radwayâs Renoyating Resolvent is

Ready Relief will cure the sick of certain diseases;
that it will stop paiu in a few minutes aftgr its ap- |
plication; that it will protect the system against at-
tacks of all malarious, contagious and infectious dis-
eases, we have the facts to establish the truth of our
statements, acknowledged by thousands who have
proved its unfailing powers on their own persons. Go
where you will, speak of Radwayâs Keady Relief in
any assemblage of persons, some one or more will
bear witness of deriving benefit from its use. .
IN MILITARY CAMPS.
There is no place so well calculated to test the use-
fulness of a specific medicine as a military camp.
Radwayâs Ready Kelief has been used in almost every
camp throughout the Grand Arwy of the Union with
the happiest success. Letters from Brigade and Re-
gimental surgecus, officers, and privates assure us
that Radwayâs Ready Relief has contributed more to
the protection of the troops against disease, and to
the use and comfort of the sick than all other med-
icines used or means suggested by the medical au-
thorities.
RADWAY'S READY RELIEF
Will stop pain and restore the sufferer to ease and
comfort in a few minutes after its use.
It never fails to afford relief to
the patient

CHRONIC RHEUMATISM, ASTHMA,
SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.
Let those who cannot enjoy an hourâs calm sleep,
make a trial of it. Wm. Sydney Myers, Esq., of the
Havana (Cuba) Press, well known to the New York,
New Orleans and London (England) Press, says that
for twenty years he had becn a sufferer from ACUTE
CHRONIC KHEUMATISM, and for one week had
not slept an hour at any one time. He applied Rad-
wayâs Keady Relief, and felt immediately relieved,
and slept soundly, and awoke in the morning free
from pain. Its continued use cured him.
General Jose Villamil, Commander-in-Chief of the

ASTHMA for TWENTY YEARS, could not lay
down in his bed without subjecting himself to violent
paroxysms of coughing. The first application of the
Ready Relief gaye him the first calim. undisturbed

of other cases could be adduced, if necessary, but the
best evidence to those poor disturbed sleepless suf-

PILES. As a remedy for this most distressing
and obstinate malady, the VEGETABLE LIFE ME-

city, that the former proprietor of these valuable
Medicines was himself afilicted with this complaint
for upwards of THIRTY-FIVE YEARS, and that he tried
in vain every remedy prescribed within the whole |
compass of the Materia Medica. He, however, at |
length tried the Medicine which is now offered to the
public, and he was cured in a very short time, after
his recovery had been pronounced not only impro-

D., of
London, an established Physician, graduate and
licentiate of all the regular institutions of London
and Paris; and who bas made nervous disorders and
their baneful origin bis partievlar study, rnd obtain-
ed such a practice in this branch of therapeutics, as
qualifies him to be a safe and competent adviser.â

âThe MEDICAL ADVISER, by Wattrere
De Roos, M. D., for the class of diseasos upon whieh.
it treats is undoubtedly the best and most soundly
practical book which has come under our notice.
The author is aman of most enlarged experience. ââ
âDeby Telegraph, June 29h, 1861.
To those who contemplate marriage its perusal is
pecially ded. âThe knowledge it imparts
must come some time, and happy they whe do not
possess it too late. âCure is certain in every curable
case, and few indeed are they which are not se.â
It is calculated to effect a complete revolution in the
treatment of these complaints.âSimple and inex-
pensive, every sufferer may cure himself speedily,
privately, and at the least possible cost.
From Jong practical observation of the treatment
pursued in the mest famous Institutions of this coun-
try and the continent, for those diseases referred to:
in the above work, the Proprietor bas had somewhat
unusual facilities for acquiring that uniform success
which has hitherto characterized his practice, in
which the distressing consequences resulting from
the injurious employment of mercury, capivi, sar-
saparilla, and similar dangerous medicines are en~
tirely obviated. Lasting benefit in these cases can
only be reasonably expected at the hands of those
who devote their chief attention to such diseases;
and te such only can confidence be safely extended.
Dr. De R. refers with pride to the numbers he has
been instrumental! in restoring to health and happi-
ness, whilst to all who need such aid he offers every
assurance of speedy restoration.
Foreien Resipents can be successfully treated by
correspondence,on sending the detail of their eases,
with a k note or Bill on a London house for ÂŁ5
or ÂŁ10, in order that a package of medicires to.
meet the exigencies of the case, may be sent out by
next mail, thus avoiding the protracted suffering and
unnecessary loss of valuable time, which wust other-
wise occur.

instances proved their superiority over every other
advertised remedy fur Spermatorrhora, languor, las-
situde, depression of spirits, irritability, anger, ex-
citement, needless fear, distaste and incapacity for
society, study or business; indigestion, pains in the
side, palpitation of the heart, giddiness, noises in
the head, impotency, impediments to marriage, &c.
This medicine strengthens the vitality of the whole
system, gives energy to the muscles and nerves, thus
speedily removes nervous complaints,renovates the
impaired powers of lite, and invigorates the most
shattered constitution. For skin eruptions, sore
throat, pains in the bones, and all those diseases in
which mercury, sarsaparilla, &c. are too often em-
ployed in vain, to the serious detriment of health,
its surprising efficacy has only to Le tested to be ap-
preciated.
As these complaints if neglected become chronic
or incurable, sufferers will do well before they waste
valuable time in seeking aid from instruments, and
other absurdities professing to supersede medicines,
to make fair trial of a remedy, which concocted on
unerring scientific principles, cannot fail, and may
be carried about the person, or left upon the toilet
table, without exciting a suspicion of its nature.
