NOTICES What's on at the Barn Well, this is it folks, the last “What's On” article of the year. You might want to save this article because it will contain lots of important information. The grand finale to our “Fun in the Sun” is shaping up to be quite anight. Keep an eye out around campus for signs announcing all the details for this special night. Up-and- coming band “High Heel Sneakers” will be rockin’ the Lounge (they’re playing Senior Week, too!) Watch the big sign now out in front of the Barn (pretty nice, eh?). In case you think it looks familiar, you're right, because it’s the old sign from the Confederation Centre of the Arts Box Office roof (a big thanks to the Confed Stafft). This is how the big giveaway night will work: as of the 24 of March we will have nine lucky qualifiers (see below). On Thursday everyone entering The Barn who purchases a Moosehead product (the sponsor of the trip) will receive one ballot; buy ten, get ten ballots! These last entries will have the chance to be the last qualifier for a chance to win an all- expense paid trip for two to St. Petersburg, Florida, from April 30 to May 7h (flight, hotel, etc.). The lucky winners will be travelling with winners from campuses all over Atlantic Canada, so you can be sure to meet some great people on your trip. The ten lucky qualifiers’ names will then be put in a ballot box and we will begin to eliminate one entry at a time (probably every fifteen minutes or so) until there is one lucky person left inthe contest. Any “deals” between draws are up to the contestants; for example: if there are three people left, one contestant (or someone in the crowd!) may be able to ‘strike a deal’ with the others to win the trip. It should make for a dramatic night. Here are the nine qualifiers: Lisa Rankin Amanda Campbell Lois Hume Lora Kemp Stella Teoli Glen Miller Fidel Murphy Chris Matters Derrick Gamble THIS COULD BE YOU!! The “YEAR END PUB’ date has been set. The “infamous” day will be Thursday, April 2Ist. The Lounge will open at 6:00 and will close when... (you know when) Newfoundland party band “Great Big Sea” will be partyin’ up just like everyone in the place. We hope to see the biggest crowd ever at the Barn for this special night. Blow off that exam stress at the Barn (and get great deals, too!) Senior Week begins Monday, May 2 at the Barn and we remind everyone that Senior Week is not just for Seniors, everyone is welcome. This week is sooo good that most 92. 4. Se) De het nD seem — 0 Oe: people like to go through 2 or 3 times (!!) during their stay at UPEI. It takes place at a perfect time of the year, too, because school is over, the weather isn’t nice yet and those summer jobs haven't started yet. Here's what's planned: Monday, May 2 “High Heel Sneakers” Tuesday, May 3 “BOB LAMBERT” Wednesday, May 4 = Main Event Pub T.B.A. Friday, May 6 Grad Banquet (this is for Grads only) followed at the Panther Lounge by “THE RYANCAM” video footage of special senior week moments Well that’s all for another year. Quite simply, it means that we are an alternative to the other radio stations on PEI. Unlike the Top 40 and Classic Hit stations, you can hear a wide variety of music on CIMN. This music ranges from classical to jazz to rave to punk. Besides playing a variety of music you won't hear anywhere else on PEI, we also play the best new music. The bands we play are often at the View From the Top The year is finally winding down. To say the least, it has been interesting. Engineering week has come and gone. The winner of Engineering Week was Shane Ostridge. Winners of the Pub Crawl were team Cleavage. Congratulations. A last reminder to third year students who are graduating this year: Don’t forget to pay for your diplomas. The Annual Engineering Banquet will be held this year on April 8 at the Charlottetown Legion. Tickets will be available from the Engineering Society Executive.
