CORPOIlAL DANIEL lt-KINNO§. 'Phe home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McKinnon. North Wiltshire was saddened by the news that their son Daniel was reported killed in action nn August 12th. Ha was twenty-two years ot age 'lass February. He en- _listed in' the 105th in November 1915 and after a period of training in Canada he went to England early in May 1916. He remained for a time in England and was engaged as mil- itary instructor. He attained to the rank oi Corporal during this time. He was anxious to get into active service and in order to do this at once he voluntarily reverted to the rank of Urivate. He went to France in March of the 'present year and after five months of trench warfare he made the supreme~sat~rifice. He was deservedly popular and was held in high esteem thy nil who knew him. 'Besides his sorrowing ‘parents thero are left to mourn six sisters and four brothers. The sis- ters are: Mrs. Nicholson of George- town. P. E. I.; Mrs. Bruso of Mal- den, .\iass.; Mrs. Elmer Clow and Mrs. G. -B. Noy ot North Wiltshire; Mrs. Watson Larter of Hampshire and Miss Christina at home. The brothers are: Ewen in New Glasgow, .\'. William in France; ilohcrt in Alberta; Ernest at home. These with a large circle ot relatives and friends mourn their loss. .
