The motion was moved by Mr. Walter Beer, and seconded by Mr. C.R. Boehner. A previous motion by Hon. Keir Clark. M. L.A., that the land re- quired for a new school he sold for the sum of 51.00 was not seconded. This meeting was a follow-up of ii general meeting of the league held last week at which it was decided Iy a majority vote to sell sumo- ient grounds of the north portion of the league field as a school site. The price to he charged for ithis area of land was left in the hands of the executive, who were to meet with the School Board on the size of land required. The motion passed at the spec- ial meeting yesterday, however, practically nullifys the action taken at the general meeting. and unless negotiations can be carried on fur- ther. it could result in a new site having to be chosen by the board. It is possible. however. that the two boards will get together to find some practical solution to the prob- iem, and thereby to the greater problem of providing classrooms for the presently overcrowded school.
