a largely attended meeting of the
Summerside Improvement Club, held
in the Council Chamber last evening,
the following named standing com-
mittees, consisting of three members
each, were appointed to assist in car-
rying out the work of the society,
Civic Improvement; Band; Canvass-
ing; Excursion; Printing; Tourist;
Fresh Air; and Advertising and
Distributing. The canvassing com-
mittee reported having met with fav-
orable results from all citizens so
far called on. Some other business
was transacted but nothing import-'
ant was decided on and the meeting
adjourned until the 28th inst, when
the different standing committees will
report to the execut.ive.J.

York, will be at I-Iolman’s on Wed-
needay and Thursday, April 23rd and
24th, to demonstrate Ladies’ Home
