BELL DEAD.--There passed peacefully away at South Melville,on Feb. 2,1913, Janet Hoilell, beloved wife of Malcolm Bell. She leaves to mourn a sorrowing husband, two children, an aged father, three sisters and two brothers, besides a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn the loss of a kind wife and loving mother. The bereaved have the sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow. _WEDDING BELLS.--A quiet wed- ding took place nt St. Augusrine Church, Rustico, on Monday, Febru- Iify third. when James Brn.ham,Ken- sirigton, was united in marriage to Lauretta M. White of Hunter River, Rev. J. J. Chaisson performed the ceremony. The bride, gowned in blue satin, was attended by Ming Margaret Berrigan of North Wilt. shire. while Emmet Driscoll support- ed U10 Broom. The happy couple will reside in Kensington. IMPORTANT DECISION. - The Privy Council has allowed the ap- peal of the Royal Bank of Canada against the iudgment of the Alberta Provincial Court. in the case of the Alberta. and Great Waterways Rall- way vs. the' Royal Bank. The amount involved is upwards of $7,000,000 and the appeal was allowed on the ground that the money confiscated by the government was the property of tne bond-holders. The Edmonton Journal in re- porting sume publishes a. photo of Mr. Hyndmnn. A LANDMARK GONE.-Hunter River lost one of its aged and most highly respected citizens in the per- son of James C. Andrews, whose death occurred on Dec. 22nd. He reached the ripe age of 87 years. He was born in Suholk, England, and emigrated to Canada with his par- ents John and Mrs. Andrews in the year 1832. They settled at New Glas- gow Road, P. E. I., where they took up land and cut a home out of the forest. He surrendered himself to Christ early in life and became iden- tified with the Church of Scotland of which he continued to be a faith- ful member and died a triumphant death conscious of going to be with Christ which is far better. At the age of twenty-one he married Mary McDonald, sistorof the late Donald McDonald of New Glasgow Road. From this union there was a family of eleven-eight sons and three daugh- ters. In the year 1864 they with their family moved to Hunter River. After 43 years of wedded life death severed this union. He again mar- ried Miss Annie McDonald in the year 1892, daughter of the late James Mc- Donald of Stancheli who still sur- vives, together wlth four sons and one daughter, also three brothers and one sister and a large clrcla of rela- tives and friends who mourn the loss of n kind and loving husband, father and friend. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev.
