They are Len Sirois, a guid- ance councillor at Birchwood Ju- nior High School in Charlotte- town, and the team of Nancy Fitzgerald and Pauline Coady of Bluefield Senior High School. The awards, designed to re- ward and encourage excellence in the classroom, were presented by Minister of Education Paul Con- nolly at a reception March 30th, where Len Sirois was also identi- fied as the province’s 1990 winner of a national McLuhan award. The provincial awards. in- cluded $2500 in cash and a Mar- shall McLuhan Medal. The team of Fitzgerald and Coady will split the cash award and each will re- ceive a medal.
