proposed organisation in the matter
of Moral and Social Reform in line
with the other provinces of the Do-
minion. Ths importance of the sub-
ject calls for a full attendance. Rev.

The marriage occurred on Satur-
day svcning at the residence of the
hride'a mother, Mrs. M. A. Green,
Vancouver, of Miss Bertha Hannah
Green, of Prince Edward Island and
Jas. Springford, of Edmonton, Alt.
The ceremony was performed by Rev.
J. P. Westman. in the presence of a
number of friends and relatives of the
bride and groom. The bride wore a
dainty gown of white point d'esprit
over white Louislne silk, and carried
white carnations. Shs was attended
by ldisc Francis McKean who was
prettily dressed in blue silk mullc.
Chester Green acted as best. man. Af-
ter congrntulations had been offered,
a supper was served. The bride re-
ceived a greathumber of costly and
handsome gifts.
Yesterday morning the body of the
lute Premier Peters was early
brought to St. Peters Cathedral
where at eight o‘clock a service was
held. The body was afterwards taken
to the Provnicisl building. It was an
impressive scene that was presented
yesterday afternoon in the Legislu~
tive Council Chamber, where lay in
state the body of the late Premier
The spacious chamber, where often
he had sat to conduct the huslnesa
of his native Province; where he as
loader of the Government. had year
by year lifted up his voice, and
which had often been tho scene of
many -parliamentary debates in
which he hadfborne"a strenuous part
was now ‘turned into a chamber of
mourning and draped with hang-
ings expressive of the regret of the
people the late leader had so ably
represented. Many passed through
and viewed the body as it lay in its
casket, surrounded by floral offer-
ings from those who mourned for
the dead man. Military guards
'stood silently guarding the body,
and on duty at the doors. At half
past two the funeral procession was
formed as outlined in yesterday'e
Guardian, and moved off over the
snow covered streets and through
the bitter cold of a typical midwin-
ter day to St. Petsr's Cathedral,
where the burial service of the
Church ol England was said by
Canon Simpson, assisted by Rev.
S. J. Woodroofe of Bt. Paul's, and
a full choir. After the adecting ser-
vice had been flnisbed. the proces-
sion which was of great length pro-
ceeded to St. Peter's Cemetery,
where interment took place. The
body was accompanied to the grave
by the' military guard of honor, the
mourners, and many citizens. The
last. prayers were then said at
the graveside by Canon Simpson.

blank rounds over the grave of the
departed Premier.
