Following the ceremony a recep- tion for eighty guests was held at the home of the bride's parents, where the rooms were decorated with a profusion of chrysantha- mums. Assisting in receiving with the bridal party were _the brides mother, who wore a floor length gown of wine velvet with match- ing hat in feather trim and a cor- sage of Talisman roses; and the Miss groom's mother chose a floor length dress of dove grey with sequin trim, a silver fox scarf and corsage of Peerless roses. The candlelighted table was centred with a three tier wedding cake and the tea cups were presided over by Mrs. S. G. Merriam. while Mrs. R. S. P. Jardine cut the ices.
