Mr. Calely only had $500 insurance on the property, which was in very good repair and worth W811 over $2,000. The fire was first noticed on the porch at the front of the house. The fire, must have gained control inside in a short time as not long after the first alarm she was burned to the ground. A spark from the flue or a dciect in the flue is thought to be the cause. The wind was directly on the surrounding farm buildings and it was with dif- ficulty that they were saved. some of the beds, clothing and furniture were removed from the burning structure.
