Montague, last evening. There were sixteen present. They were served a delicious turkey supper and full course by the capable and ef- ficient staff. Lower Montague, The dining room and rabies were artistically decorated with a colorful array of summer flowers, and the delicious chicken dinner was most heartily enjoyed. Mr. Lorne Wigginton acted as toastmaster and the following toasts were given: ”The Queen," responded to by singing the nation- al anthem. "The director of the play" proposed by Miss Evelyn Under-hay. which was cleverly done. and gave much credit to Mrs. C. A. Shaw, who, besides her interest and untiring efforts, at very short notice, played the part. for two evenings. of one of the male cast who had been taken ill. Mrs. Shaw responded to this toast. ”The stage manager, promptor and all other helpers," pfoposed by Georile Wright and responded to by Mrs. J. M. Fraser. Each one present was asked to give his or her most em- barrassing and funniest experience. These proved very entertaining. Mrs. G. Arnold Wighiman recit- ed an original and humorous poem. a verse about each member of the cast. Rev. J. M. Fraser gave a. short talk, after which others were called upon to speak briefly. In response to request. Mrs. C. A. Shaw gave a reading. Duets were sung by Mr. Lome Wigginton and Mr. Dannie Mur- ray. and Mrs. Horace Fraser and Mr. Colin Jackson. Mrs. Jackson was thanked for her hospitality and the delightful dinner provided. A hearty sing-song brought an evening of good fellowship to a close. This play. which was spon- sored by the Young Adults Group of Trinity United Church. Mon- taguc, has been presented in the following centres: Montague (twice). Millview, Eldon, Murray River.
