A. A. McLeod of Sumimerslde and Rev. J. B. Daggett of Tryon. ‘Rev. J. H. Copeland of O'l..eary arrived Tuesday eveninii ‘and spoke briefly during the meet- ing. Especially interesting, was the report of Rev. J. H. Copeland to the people of Central Bedeque. as he spoke in glowing terms of the effect of the revival conducted last year. ‘by the pregnant Pastor of the ‘Bedeque Church (Dr.J.J.Sldey) and showed how a real revival, had broken out, and was sweeping the Western part of the Island. One Tncident was especially to the point. He attended a prayer meet- ing the previous Saturday evening at Elmsdale where twelve men, mostly members of the United Church at Elmsdale stayed most of the evening in prayer, seeking God's ‘blessing on their work. Such incidents as these were inspiring to all who heard them, and showed clearly that the Gospel does not need new fashioned methods, in order to attrait the rank and file of people, but the old fashioned Gospel in the old fashioned way, is powerful enough to reach men and women at every rank in life. Rev. Mr. Lindsay of Hazelbrook. the Moderator of the Quarterly. was unable to ‘bepresent, but sent ‘his regrets. ‘Rev. A. A. McLeoud, the new Baptist minister st Bum- ‘mereido. made a distinct impres- sion upon his audience. The peo- ple liked him. and he seemed to like the people. and Bedeque will always ‘be ready to extend a vvsl- come to Rev. A. A. McLeoud. Rev. J. B. Dsggett of Tryon also presch- ed e splendid sermon and extolled tho Old Gospel, making it attrac- tlvo to all who heard it.
