Herescepe..... Dead Letter Dear DLO: I was just wondering why the heck the Cadre was not pub- lished on October 26". I mean, the October 19% didn’t mention anything about there not being a paper for the next week. I at least ex- pected the November 2"4 issue to provide some sort of explana- tion. Alas, it was not to be found. Indeed, the Editorial seemed to mention just about everything except why there was no Cadre the week before. There are some things we come to expect from a weekly news- paper and one of those things just happens to be that it should come out every week. I’m beginning to think that the Student Union should stop funding ail the campus media. -Tracey Flick Dear Tracy: Sorry about the lack of issue on the 19th; I'm surprised anyone noticed. Chalk it up to inexperience. It wont swers &e happen again. Now as for the SU cutting off of funding for campus media; well, Tracy, maybe you should change your name to shithead so no one gets you confused with all the other Tracys in the world.-Ed. Dear Editor: If the Cadre wasn’t free, I would ask for my money back. Last week’s (November, 2) edition was the worst this year! You men- tioned in your editorial the “profound regret” you felt after the publi- cation of each issue. Well, I profoundly regretted reading that last issue. The first couple of issues had some promise, but you blew it! I mean, aren’t newspaper supposed to carry news? Almost everything in there was either opinion or complete and utter fiction. Anybody can make up stories, but it takes real TALENT to find interesting and factual ones. Max Fischer Dear Max: nappy Ort Don't give up yet Max; we're going to blow the lid of several of the critical issues on cam- pus, as soon as we find anyone who cares enough about them to surface. Oh yeah, and maybe you should change your name to Tracy, so no one gets you confused with all the other Maxs in the world.-Ed. Dear DLO: I was quite dismayed when I read that the by-election only had an eight percent voter turnout. As a con- cerned student, I tried my hardest to con- vince as many people to vote. I was so sure there would be a better turnout just from my contribution alone. I, too, must attribute this attrocity to poor advertising. Although I did know that there was an election, I was not aware that there was a debate. I was really looking forward to a speech from John Fleming, who was the only man brave enough to give an interview with the Cadre. I applaud Mr. Fleming and every- Office ‘bine he stood for and I am saddened to see that he was not the winner. Robert Paulson To who it may con- cern: I just got back from that English department shindig and it was quite a shindig! There was lots of food and pop! I almost busted a gut from drinking to much cream soda! All the professors were really nice and helped me a lot. I almost decided which section of English 101 I will take next semester. Asa fourth year business student I am happy that there are really nice people in other departments who are really nice to me and to help me. In conclusion, I just thought that everybody would like to know that. Sincerely, Adam Gallant And they say business guys are boring.-Ed.
