MONTREAL, January 25-At a
special meeting of civic officials to-
day it was decided that tho $100,000
worth of frozen eggs which have been
condeinnod by the provincial hoard
of health must he taken outside the
city's limits, or destroyed by the nu-
thorities of Montreal within thirty-
six hours. Dr. McCarry, chief food
inspector, said :-"These canned eg§i
are now in a cold storage warehouse,
I shall send a communication there
to-day stating that the eggs must he
taken away from this city, and out-
side of the province also. I will give
them thirty-six hours to comply with
this order. After this, if the cgils are
still in storage I will have the whole
consignment seized and destroyed."
