John Richards, has returned to Churlottc- town from a trip to Upper C_-anada, where he visited Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and other cities. He was nbsent. from the Island about three weeks. While at Toronto he attend- ed many of the meetings of the Live Stock Associations of which hc is a member. These meetings were very largely attended by farmers and live stock men from all over the Do- minion and much interest was manl- fested in the work. Mr. Richards was particularly interested in the meetings of the Clydesdale, Short- horn, and Aberdeen Angus Breeders’ Associations, of which he is President for the Island. He was the only re- presentative from this province pre- sent. He was successful in securing a grant of $150 from the Clydesdale Association, to be oilered in prize money for pure-bred Clydesdales at the provincial exhibition. He also endeavored to secure a grant from the Shorthorn Association for a similar purpose, but as the member- ship on the Island is so small, it was dlfiicult to get the consent. of the Association for the appropria- tion, but it is to be hoped as the membership increases here, that a substantial grant will be obtained. "Mr. 'Richards was re-elected to the some ollice which he has held in the above Associations for some years. While away, he purchased a number of pure-bred animals which will arrive on the Island in the early part of April or soon after navigation opens. ::Rexall Healing Ointment is the nearest approach to those potent salves and ointments _used by all the ancient Roman and Greek gladia- tors. lt: is really wonderful how this preparation soothes and heals all kinds oi cuts, burns, sores and skin eruptions. it heels promptly and is most elliclcnt-if it doesn't do ae we say you get your money back.
