TAE KWON DO KOREAN MARTIALARTS/SPORT "PART OF THE 1992 OLYMPIC GAMES BARCELONA, SPAIN" TiIGERTAE KWON DOSCHOOL 56GRAFTON ST. OPEN MONDAY-FRIDAY 5:30-9PM SATURDAY 10:30-2PM FOR MOKE INFORMATION, CALL DAVID FITZPATRICK, VP STUDENT UNION 566-0530 OR CARY CHOY(iiG:.2 TAE KWON DO SCHOOL) ear Editor, m quite shocked at Student Union’s attitude. Inthe ent Council meeting (open to the public), Joanna rphy, Student Union President - elected by us - arly passed motion on the issue of what to do with rmoney ($10,000 per year) by saying ‘‘builda dent centre’’. She did not ask students what their ney should be spenton. Asa student, I resent her tude. St of all, as a student, I should be kept informed of at my money is being spent on. I was at the stu- itcouncil meeting, and I was not asked, Remember Murphy, you are elected by us to do a proper job, } You are supposed to act upon students requests. Secondly, the rest of the executive seems to think that they are ona ‘‘power-ride’’. Mr. Fitzpatrick, for example, wrote a letter last week, condemning Kirby Ferguson’s work on CIMN’s Alter Ego. Weare university students, and we are of age to read the censored chart. Afterall, the songs are realm therefore not tasteless. If Student Union did not become full of itself, Mr. Ferguson would not have to waste his time and black out certain words. [ suppose that Student Union’s executive starts to behave like adults, and stop going on Power-Trips. We do not need you if you have an attitude problem. Sincerely, Students who are annoyed by youractions. y \ JPEI X-P RESS January 30, 1992 Page 5
