     On Sunday, Nov. 7, the UPE I, 
     
     basketball Panthers‘enter- 
     
     tained St. F.X. in a non- 
     
     conference game. The x—Men 
     
     squeaked out a 104-101 vic- 
     
     tory_in overtime. 
     
    

    
     The Panthers led through 
     
     out the contest, being up 
     
     by as much as 13 points with 
     
     less than ten minutes remai- 
     
     ning, but the x-men got hot 
     
     and whittled away at ther 
     
     lead until they edged ahead 
     
     96-94 with only seconds re- 
     
     maining. The Panthers scal- 
     
     mbled for a shot frantical- 
     
     ly, and scored on Mike Con- 
     
     nolly's 25 foot jumper as 
     
     the crowd exploded into 
     
     frenzy. The Panthers pulled 
     
     ahead at the beginning of 
     
     the overtime period, and
