He was a life-long resident of Appln Road. A farmer by trade, highly re- spected by all who knew him far and near. Notwithstanding his ad- vanced years he was around his work as usual. He was s. skilled ex- pert in making axe-handles and was working at. his trade till the last minute, when he was stricken with that dread disease plum-pneumonia from which he never recovered. He bore his sufferings trusting in the Lord who doeth all things well. In his early life he married Margaretta. McLeod, and to this union was born three sons and three daughters. His wife predeceased him by eight years, also a daughter Frances, 7 years. and another daughter, Mary, Mrs. Mavross. Abrahams, 4 years ago. All that was left of a kind father and loving neighbor was laid to rest on June 7th to await a glorious resur- rection. The funeral services were conducted at the house and grave by the Rev. Geo. Sears. The pail bear- ers were nephews of the de- ceased: Henry Mcfnnis, Arthur Mc- Innis, John McPhaii, Angus Dort, John Gordon and Donald Gordon. ‘There are’ left to cherish his fond memory Richard W., Samuel A., on the old homestead, Mrs. Annie Die.- mond, Cdlvilie Station; also one son John in Vancouver. and one sister Jane, Mrs. Allen McInnis, two broth- ers, Richard, Amherst, James Locke, Charlottetown. The deceased was the oldest of twelve children and was always bright and cheerful to the last. (Patrirot Please Copy) ., --—-<-o->i— MR. WILLIAM CREAMEII. The residents of South Melville and adjacent districts were shocked and surprised to learn of the sudden passing away of William Creamer. during the early hours of July 7th. The deceased, who was in his 71st year, had been stricken with parsl- ysls just three years ago, but had been able to be up around until last October, when another attack sent him permanently to bed. Around the middle of March he was remov- ed to the City Hospital. in hopes of the good treatment there being beneficial to him. which it surely was. Toward the last. however. having expressed the wish to come back to his old home. he was ac- cordingly brought there on July 1st only a few days elapsed, when the good God in whom he trusted so much, saw fit to summon his world- weary spirit away from this vale of tears. Fortified by the last rites of his Holy Church he died as he lived, an exemplary Christian. noted always for his ever-ready wit and geniaiity of person, he was always a welcome addition to any gathering of his friends; and it is not too much to say that in all his affairs, both fin- ancial and social. he never made an enemy. He willbe greatly missed as he was a life-long resident st the Creamer homestead. His four sisters and cider brother Hugh. pro-deceased him four years ago. and there are left to mourn as brothers, John, of Brae Harbour; Bernard, of Souris; Joseph, of Maplewood;_ Ambrose and Timothy. of Lowell, Mass; also his nciee Mrs. James D. Flood by whom he was tenderly cared for from the begin- ning of his illness. His funeral was a silent testimony, of his many friends and took place on Saturday, July 9th to Kellysi Cross Church, where Requiem Mass‘ was sung by his pastor, Rev. P. Mc- Mahon. Present in the Sanctuary were: Rev. John A. McDonald of Lot 7; Rev Thos Curran of Si. Duns- tan's University; Rev. W. Monaghan of Seven Mile Bay and Rev. M. J. Smith of Kinkora. His remains were interred in St. Joseph's Ceme- tery. the pail bearers being, Michael Malone. Alfred Cameron. Patrick Trsinor, John D. McFarlanc, Chas. McKenna, and James E. McQuaid.
