Mre. Elizabeth Bor- den Hewitt. Mrs. Hewitt died at her home in nearby Canning May 12. Mrs_ Hewitt was the daughter o! the late Sir Frederick and Lady Borden. Sir Frederick served as Fedeal Minister o! Militia and Dateline from 18196 to 1911 l-n the Laurler Government. The bequests will eventually a- mount to $50,000 each. This re- presents one third of Mrs. Hewitt‘: estate, appraised at $165,000. One third oi the estate is lelt in trust to Mrs. l-lewlttiv. mother during her lifetime.
