Building Products jumped 11/4 to 40 while National Steel Car strengthened 341 to 221/4. Otherindustrial sections which were mixed to higher were the base metals and utilities. Nor- anda gained _1V2 to 40 while Hud- son’s Bay was off 1A to 42% and B.C, Forest moved up 1/2 to ~1l1/2 while Quelbec Natural Gas settled M4 to 24%. In the mixed to lower category were banks and refining oils. Trading in mines and oils was moderate with the most signific- ant gains in the producers. Cent- ral Del Rio gained 50 cents to 7.50. Calmlpfbell Clhib moved up 25 cents to 4.95 and Scurry gained 29 cents to 2.25. _The exchanges’ closing aver- ages showbanks off .88 at 46.55, utilities up .3 to a new high of 140 and industrials also at a new high of 243 up 2.5.
