The sudden death of Mr. Sev- mour Boulter of Milburn occurren suddenly at his home on June (itli at the age of seventy-five years. Miss Muttart. whose home is in Albany. was a very successful and beloved teacher at the Derby School for several years She was the Valedictorian and war. also one of the prize winners. Among those attending the grad- uation ceremonies were Mr. and Mrs. rRoy Oulton of Brae Harbor with whom Miss Mutt-art boarded when teaching at ' the Derby School. Mr. Swabey Jelly of O'Learv recently celebrated his 86th birth- day. His family with their wives and children were present. A beautifully decorated two-tier birthday cake was baked by his daughter, Mrs. Alex MacDonald. and was presented to the guest of honor by his little granddaughter, Lucy Ann Jelly. This enjoyable function concluded by all wishing ilic guest of honor more happy birthdays. Mr. Jelly is interested and active in all that pertains to the betterment of the community and the advancement of the Christian Church. Despite his ad- vanced years. he enjoys fairly food health. The Bloomfield United Church Women's Missionary Society met for their June meeting in the church with the president. Mrs- A. W. Mrs. E. R. McAusland and Mrs. Hebcr Pi-ofltt. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Palmer for Christian Youth in Canada and Europe and for our missionaries in Japan who are taking part in work camps. The beautiful worship service was led by Mrs. Earl Palmer with its theme of "Worship and Work". Appropriate hymns were sung and Scripture readings were given by the leader. Mrs. Heber Profitt. and Mrs. L. E. Profitt. Mrs. John Lewis read a message on Christian Stewardship. Miss Nellie Arbing gave a short sketch of work car- ried on by Miss Margaret hrowii. in Hong Kong and led in prayer on her behalf. Three new quilts donated and quilting by the mem- bers il now available to be sent to Korea with warm clothing and other necessary articles where the need is so great.
