About one half hour before her death she was stricken mddzniy, and nothing could be done to aid her. she passed away without any pain or suffering. a peaceful way to leave this world's iabore. but a severe shock for thone who are left to mourn her passing. The late Mr; Roberto wea born In Wheatley River in la. the daughter of the late Richard Stead and Elnma Jane Coles. Apart from a few years spent in the United States. she spent all of her life on P. E. Island. On her return from the States she married Rob- rt H. Roberta. and moved to North Wineloe where aha resided until the time of her death. The late Mrs. Roberts who pos- leswod of a ready sense of humor. and had the gift of heing a good eonversationallst, and it was in- deed a pleasure for any who could Ipond an afternoon with her. She aieo enjoyed the company of ohildren, and will be sadly missed by two little granchildren. whom she loved very much, and who adored Gram. She was an ardent lover of everything out of doors. and spent many pleasant hours among her flowers whose lilossoms testified to her loving care. She leaves to mourn. besides her sorrowing husband. two child- ren, Walter ll. of North Winsloe. and Marjorie. The funeral service. which was held from her late home on Jan- uary 30th. was very lat-izeiy at- tended; people coming from far and near to pay their last respects to a good friend and neighbour. The service at the home was con- ducted by Rev. H. Barbour. and Rev. .l'. R. Skinner. liymns sung were "ln the sweet. Eye and Eye". and "Safe in the Anne of Jesus".
