New York LONG CREEK WOMEN'S INSTITUTE The annual meeting o! the Long Creek Women's Institute met at the home of Mrs. Earl MacKenzie on Friday evening, Nov. 12th with a full attendance of members. The meeting opened by repealing the Crccd followed by the reading of mlnuics and roll cull. A very com- prehensive report of the year's work was given by the secretary- treasurer. The funds raised by the Institute with the co-operatlon o! the district went towards turning and re-modelllng the school. A. motion was carried that the president forward a letter to Mr. L. W. Shaw to convey our many thanks to all those in the Govern- ment responsible for giving such splendid financial aid to our school. Bllle for paint, blinds, etc, were ordered paid. It was decided that Mrs. Wilfred Stretch write Profes- sor Mugtord in connection with giv- ing the children vocal instruction in the school. Mrs. Hugh MacKenzle and Miss Meredith MacLean were appointed scrutineers and the following offi- cers were elected tor the coming year.
