It is esti- mated that over six thousand persons visited the exhibition yesterday, and about seven thousand to-day. The Philharmonic concert last evening was attended by thousands, and was altogether very success- ful. To-day, Dr. Grensides was again basy judging the horses. The frames were hand- made in East India by native workmen, of close grained teak. A sword belonging to Mr. Lord’s great grandfather, carried during the American revolution, 1775-6, and brought by him to this Island, when sent here as a Loyalist. A walking stick (mahogany) made from the wood of the cabin of H. M. S. This race was for a purse of $150, $90 to the first. $45 to the second, and $15 to the third. Mile heats, best three ‘in five. The horses entered were: Whistler, owned by George driven by W T Winan, color blue. Honest John, owned by George M. Hibbett, driven by R Steele; color white. Boodler, owned by P A Delahunt, driven by owner; color pink. Whistler got the pole, Honest John second, and Boodler third. First Heat.—The horses got away at the second score, shortly after 2 o’clock. At the first turn Whistler drew ahead and Honest John fell to the rear. This position was held throughout the heat. two lengths ahead, Time 2.42. Second Heat.—At the third score the horses got the word “‘ go,” Whistler leading from the first turn, closely and very pluckily followed by Boodler. Honest Johu broke up after passing the half, fell several lengths be- hind, and was unable to regain his position. At the finish Whistler was first, Boodler a good second, and henest John third. Time 2.424, Third Heat.—The horses got away after thesecond score. Whistler led from the first turn. Honesty John soon captured second = which he held till the half, when he roke badly and was passed by Boodler, who chased Whistler pretty closely to the finish. Whistler showed fine, square trotting in this race, and won an easy victory, Boodler second, Honest John third. 2.37 cLass. Essory vasory, Third Heat.—The horses got away well -ogether after several scorings. Blackbird soon drew alittle ahead. Whistler trotted gamely as usual udtil he reached the half, when he broke badly. Peabody then came up with him and made a good push for second position. The judges fawarded Blackbird first place this time, Whistler second, Peabody third. Time, 2.37. Fourth Heat.—-This heat was prettily trotted, Blackbird obtaining a lead almost from the start, very closely followed by the gamey Whistler, with Peabody a good third. This was the best heat of the race, and the winner was loudly cheered at the close. Time, 2.36}. Fifth Heat—After ten scores the horses got a pretty fair start. About the first turn, Blackbird led out, with Whistler second, and Peabody third. Masonic Pilot put in some good work, and obtained the third place, which he was, however, compelled by Hernona to relin- quish. There were several fine bursts of speed in this heat. The horses came in in the following order : Dinah, first; Nelly Bly, second; Hernona, third; Pestle, fourth; Millionaire, fifth; Masonic, sixth; Starlight, distanced. Time, 2 52. Third Heat.—The horses got the word ‘**go” in the second score. Dinah, a mare of splendid promise, led from the start as usual, trotting squarely, lightly and beauti- fully throughout the race, Nelly Bly made a good second winning second money and Hernona third.
