He considered the spon- soring of good citizenship as being the chief object of school life, therefore the teachers have a great responsibility in the formation of character, Mr. McPhee stated that ri teacher should have a strong per- sonality and an almost irreproacli- able character which would make rm indelible impression on the pu- pil. Miss Sadie Bruce, read a paper‘ on "The Teaching of English". She believed the teaching of correct speaking was the primary object in an English class.
