Wright of the Provincial Department of Agric- ulture judged the Shortliorns and. said that there were some verv good exhibits and a good improve- ment was shown over two years ago i when he last judged at Egmonti Bay. Mr. Morris Deacon also of the- Provincial Department of Agric- ulture judgcd the Shorthorns and said that there were some very, good exhibits and a good improve- ment was shown over two years ago when he last judged at Eg- mont Bay. Mr. Morris Deacon also of the Provincial Department of Agric- ulture. judged the dairy breeds and said he would like to see the animals better trained for the show ring. also more competition. He said that there were some good animals in all breeds and the cow class in the Ayrshires was partic- ularly good. Mr. W.R. Shaw, Deputy Minis- ter of Agriculture. judged the horses and said that there were some outstanding draft horses and one or two of these would lead their class in any exhibition on the Island. He said that the ex- hibits were not numerous but the quality was generally good. Mr. George Miller of Northam had the champion more. There were no stallions shown. There was also a small display of foxes and these were judged by Dr. C.K. Gunn of the Experimen- tal Ranch at Summerside. The usual fine standard was noted in the roots and grains shown as well as in the handicraft and home cooking. As usual there was a great demand to purchase articles that were on display.
