FOX MARKET.-The Farm Stock and Fox Exchange has received from iinvcstculi the considerable su.m_' of. $10,000 for investment in the Anglo- Amerlcaii Silver Black Fox Company. ln view of the fact that the money market is tied up as it result of the war the investment of such a large amount in foxes proves beyond ques- tion the stability of the industry. This with a good lay- er of gravel on top will make a good road and will be of service in the shipping season this fall. Mr. D. Mc- ic meeting was held last evening in present subscribed liberally for the cause. Hon. John Riclinrds in a pat- riotic speech asked thuse who arc unable to go to the front to help those the fact that the farmers of P. E. Never, he declared, had this Empire striven for a great motive with cleaner hands and conscience. “The day the Ger- mans had so long boast_ed and looked forward to had arrived and it is our duty now to make that "day" so mem- orable to the Germans that they will never' want to see or hear of it again. Mr. John H. Bell, K. C., dwelt upon the fact that our Mother Country had done so much for us in the past, that we hi turn should show our gratitude by contributing liberally, as money will play a very important part in this war. Brief but eloquent speeches were made by Hon. A. E. Arsenaulty Dr. A. A. McLellan, Captain Jos. Reid. Mr. E. H. Rayner, Mr. Wm. Stewart and many others. Mayor Saunders was appointed treasurer of the fund for the present time.
