Adjoining the diu- ing room is the accident ward and the lavatory rooms. Across the hall and nenr the main wards is the nurses’ kitchen. Between this and the elevator is the side entrance lending through a verandah. By this entrance patients can be taken directly to ' he oferating room by elevator. Un the south end of the first door is located the male general ward, 25x50 feet, l with space for ten beds. Off this ward, 1 to the south, lies the convalescents room. with large windows to admit sunlight, also an open tireplace. From this room fine views ofthe Hillsborough ijver andthe t surrounding countrv can be obtained. Ad - joining this room is the patients clothing room and linen room. 1 'Ilhe second door ot' the main building is taken up by nine private rooms, arrang- ed all together, some of them having open 1 fire places. These rooms are within reach of a large airing balcony for those patients who are not able to go down stairs. This floor also contains the childr`en’s wards, 16x33, with convalesents room, also feinale ward, 24x59, with couvales 1 ents room, clothing and linen rooms with lavatory directly over those below.
