The grass in this vicinity promises to be huy in the near future of a very excel- The crops generally present a fine appearance, and the farmers are looking forward toa bouatifal return for their labors, fhe potato bug has arrived, and evi- dently intend to stay. You can see him roosting along the fences as yon pass by, at peace with himself and the world gen erally. The fruit crop promises to be a very generous one, with the exception of straw- berries, which are, I regret to say, beauti- fully and religiously scarce. One of the mo-t beautifal places in this part of the country is the farm of Mrs. Fieiger, now known as Pleasant Point, but formerly as the Disney property. It Howlan’= by roal Charlottetown. It commands a magniticent view of the harbor, and the faciiuies for are unequalled. One of the institutions here is May- tlower Division, Sons of Temperance. It is said that the increasing drankenness inthis section and the disgraceful brawl! atthe house of Mr. Peter from led to its birth. It was duly organized by Mr. W. H. Harris, of Charlottetown, and seven, and the number has been steadily increasing. The marked sobriety of the people here ia one of the greatest proofs of the good work ii is doing.
