MANY of our readers may be sur- prised to learn that we have in Char- lottetown, in the person of Mrs. T. Morris, of Weymouth St. a lady furrier who does work in making. remaking, trimming cleaning and repairing furs equal to that done by experts in the business elsewhere. Our correspon- dent latelv visited her and saw a. num- ber of elegant garments which she had remodelled from old ones which had gone out of style. Worthy ofparticn- lar notice, was a beautiful black fur cape made from a lady’s coat, a.nice beaver cap made from an old muff, and a very stylish collarette from an out of date cape, Although she has two assistants she has orders in advance for several weeks’ work and has filled many for people in the United States and Nova Scotia, She is constantly doing work for persons from all parts of this province., Mir. Jacon VANiaUsKIIeK. veterinary surgeon, returned on Saturday, after an ext-ended trip through his native province, P. E. Island. Mr. Vanbus- kirk left Moncton on the first of Septem- ber, taking hisown team, with which he diove over a great part cf the Is- land, visiting relatives and friends and indulging in fishing and shooting with fair success. He reports the wheat crop of the Island generally poor, early sown oats fgood but late sown poor, potatoes fair, hay abundant but almost unsaleable. The shipments of Island sheep, Mr. Vanbuskirk says, have been quite phenomenal this year, over 20,- 000 going from Summers ide of which Mr. Jones is credited wi h over 10.000. Mr. Vanbuskirk cs me Io Moncton from the island 45 years ago and this is his longest stay outside the town in all this period of nearly half I. century. His first trip from Surnrnersitle to P. E. Island, he says, was made in an open sail boat, when be had quite an exper- ience, both his cornput ions getting in- toxicated at S* ediae and being helpless on the return trip,” so that he had to manage the b- at alone. Mr. Vanbuskirk enjoyed the Island trip very much and is cton Times. \ 1 ___i"'_;~_’;;”‘-1».n.""' _ _-_ _C _ MAG" it "*e» *B ’ A. .-r' ra '\~i-., ‘.‘.-'.-r5`~' . ` . - ’ """ ...a.;_.,_i; _ *nap :_A -_ ~D -» .73 (Lf F 3 'S ra E`>l?.=':§"l__E lf '1.'_,...:.- .t'-"il..‘.".'.f\YES COOL & CLEAN. n-u THROUGH USING THE I Maclter1zi°Ca[§r\ B .1 i i l ._ .` ,_?1_;-l _ dst, __-'_ `].Q*, _ \ i P writoitrnzie think aerrrfriueoes A invention is a very " answers well. >< J .l\ feeling better as a result of it.-.\l0u-, Warm Underwear I One special line Ribbed Cotton Drawers ' l6c.
