Marjorie Torrens Shinerama Chairperson ’84 Once again Orientation Week has come and gone. This year proved to be a great success, with over three hundred freshmen registered for the three days of activities. The freshmen showed great enthusiasm and all events were well attended. One of our biggest successes was Klondike Night, in which we raised $327 for Cystic Fibrosis. On behalf of my other two co-chairpersons, Nancy Field and Marc Doiron, I would like to thank all those people who gave their'time‘ and talent to Orientation week. Our biggest thanks goes to our Orientation Committee which worked long hours to make all activities successful. Numerous prizes were awarded at the closing banquet. One was given to Gordi MacFadyen for being the most outgoing frosh. Hopefully, these freshmen will retain their enthusiasm throughout ' their university life. _ - _We would also like to thank the U.P.E.I. Student Union Executive and Generaf Manager, Heather Love for‘ all their assistance.» A special thanks is ex- tended to President Meincke for hostinglthe B-B-Q and to Andy Dean for preparing food on numerous occasions. fr personally would like to thank Nancy and Marc who have ‘worked with me since April in preparing for Orientation.
