Aboat seven o'clock yesterday evening one of the stables owned by Mr. Josiah Wood, M. P., was found to be on fire, and notwithstanding the greatest efforts were made to get the live stock out, five of Mr. Woods valuable pure bred cows were burned, The stable contained a quantity of goods stored there, which with, all the hay feed, ete., was burned. The origin of the fire is a mystery. Strangely at the same hour last Sunday evening the stable owned by Mr. T. H. Priscott was burned with all its contents. The cause was also unknown.
