Both the neighbouring lodges were invited and regardless of the bad roads the Hall was well filled. The splendid programme was opened with s speech by Mr. T. S. Robertson on the need of Temperance, followed by 9. choruh, “Sound the Battle Cry" by tive of the sisters. A solo (Daisy Bell) was then excellently rendered by Randolph Bruce. After many other splendid songs, speeches, etc.. gramaphone selections were _given by Mr. Il. T. Kitson which were very in- teresting. An excellent dialogue was then acted to perfection by R. Kit- son, R. H. Bruce, Eddison-and Wal- lace Rose, Spurgeon and R. D. Bruce, R. D. Bruce acting as Pat in a suit- able manner and R. D. as clown. The meeting was then brought to a close when Miss Winnie Bruce, who acted as pianist in such a capable manner throughout the night, accom- panied the cheerful and delighted au- dience with God Save the King. This goes to show the strenuous efforts of all the members to banish the cause of intemperance.-*_ .
