There is ample reason to believe that gangs of skilled burglars are located in this city. On Friday morning last at an early hour the residence of Simeor «nes was broken into. On Saturday morning the burglars—no doubt the same ones-— entered Wm Gievan’s house on Hazen Street and stole therefrom a number of silver spoons, some napkin rings and six dollars in cash. Un Sunday morning they operated on the Carleton side of the harbor, selecting the residence of Joseph Scammell as a place most likely to afford bouty. They secured quite a lot of silverware and about $200 in money. The police are at their wits end and don’t know what to do. narcotic Opposite Market Square, Lonpon, Aug. 29.
