Last year Lippi Gaudetls bantams loved us from I white- washing by beating the Charlotte- town bantams 5 to 0 in the final game to annex the Island bantam title. 0 This year, the Mei-curys were eliminated from the inter-mediate picture by Alberton who in turn were beaten by those old peren- nial champs, the Borden Nation- als. we didn't have any Juniors, and our juveniles were beaten two games to one by the Charlotte- town juvenile Abbies. We had a pretty good juvenile team at that, but they were stacked up against a better aggregation. Charlotte- town juveniles have some of the finest forwards we have seen in Forbie Kennedy, Willie Dunn, Red MacFadyen and Ian Kennedy. They are pure dynamite on the loose, and we'll be surprised if they don't score is lot of goals in their hunt for a Maritime crown. The team may be a little below par on defence, and for that reas- on may, have trouble on the mainland. But the dynamite boys should make their presence felt. O U I 0 0 Our midgets were swamped in Charlottetown 12-4, and as we bang this out, we believe the sec- ond game is being played in Bed- eque. Unless you believe in mir- acleii, don't expect the midgets of Summerside to make up those eight goals, so I guess the Island midget championship can be writ- ten off as far as Summerside is concerned. 0 C I I That enterprising. little town nine miles east of Summerside called Kensington knocked Sum- merside out of contention in the bantam and pee-wee divisions.
