For a photographer, whose dut- iep may require her to photograph some Island area from 12,000 feet in the morning and capture on film the rather prosaic sight of a uornout camshaft in the after- noon. no two days are alike. Nor- mslly, however, they start at 'I am. when. without benefit of alarm clock she wakes up and turns on the radio. "It's a good thing we sleep two to a mom or there might be some hollering from those who dont like western music because my roommate and I always listen to A1 Niekelson from CJRW." Breakfast, the quietest meal of the day, is aiways' over by 7:45 and the working day for AW Cook begins shotrtu afterwalrds. With only a small staff in the photo section work doesn't always end -for dinner or even for supper. For Thelma. whose hobby is photo- graphy, the hours of work seldom matter as she spends many of her evenings working on her own camera projectls. At least ciiice during the evening she can be found engaging in something in- tinely iemiiiine.....a gossip fest whh girls from other sections. A quiet girl. she doesn't accept da.tes....therels s boy in Green- wood who wrltes every day and a return letter also takes time each evening. The station theatre and sporfs activities receive some of her attention, but not too much. t'I'he photo album is never up to date and if a photographer can't keep her own album in first class shape, who can? Willi home so close every free week-end is spent at Cape Wollu with the family that is so proud of its own girl in blue. 50 the Bat- urdays and Sundays haven't clumgecI...'I'he little white motor boat still goes out to the fishing grounds, the neighbors drop in for a chat, church on Sunday morn- ing and her mother still bakes those wonderful chocolate takes... the only thing she misses iii the Air Force. If you ask this girl who joined the Air Force ”to see what i: was like" what it really is like, she'll! tell you, "I like it."
