Probably the most important will be the presentation to the public generally of the personnel for the board of directors as repre- senting the committee. It is understood that this will provide for chairman. president and several board members, leaving the necessary vacancies to take care of minority nominations by the various groups of security holders, each of which will probably be given representation. Upon the \\‘isdol.n of the choices for the board will undoubt- edly depend s great deal of tho success of the new organization. Alreadv tho Street is showing a keen interést in possible nominations. Particularly as reltarrls the leading positions on the hoard. Popular suggestions ineludc Hon. Chas. A. Dunning as chairman and Lalllonte .T. Beinnp ns president. Random guesses have been current re- garding other members hut these have less of the stamp of certainty. The name to be decided upon for the reorganized company is another mai.- ter in. which public interest is fairly keen. It is understood that the name will he thoroughly suggestive of the organization and may retain n et-rtI||n resemblance to the title of tho present rorparatian, although this is not yet definite. These announcements together with the definite dates for the series of meetings for tha various security groups may he forthcoming during the current week and. certainly, the per- sonnel will lun inode known prior to the time scheduled for the formal meeting. It now promises to be hut a mutter of a few weeks before final steps to complete the reorganization plan will ire taken, including the pro- curing of the charter for the reorgan- ized company. . DOMINION STORES, LlIiII'l`EDl Earnings of this company have a good chance this ycar of equaliing or surpassing the 1020 record achieved after several years of progressive gains in profits. ln the first half of this year the company earned 071: per share nn the common. In 1030 55 p.c. of to- tal net earnings was derived in the second half which is normally tho in-st portion of th... yesr. Applying this ar- Rument to 1031 there would be ladi- cated net for the year of $2.15 a share without; giving consideration to the benefit to the company of its store dc- vclopmcnt policy. Net in 1030 was $l.iJl -... and in 1020, $2.17. ‘... .. 4% 1008 0.75 101.00 ' , :_-u-u-_ _-1 ' 'Stewart Jones 81 Co. Correspondents of Greenshields & Co.
