The ladies were well pleased with the success of their eiiorts. 8. -WI‘.DDING BELLS — A very pretty wedding took place at the United Church parsonage, Bummer- side, at 3 o'clock on Wednesday, March 7th when Miss Lulu Yeo, North 5t. Eleanors, was united in holy bonds oi matrimony to Mr, Harold Archibald Simmons, son ol Mr. and Mrs. Brecken Simmons, Wilmot. Rev. L. B. Campbell was the officiating clergyman. The bride looked very charming 1n a lovely wedding gown oi white crepe back satin, with bridal veil fastened with a bandeau o! pearls and orange blossoms. Her shoes were oi’ white lilk crepe, and she carried a shower bouquet o! Orphelin roses. The bride was attended by Miss Lois Cairns. Freetown. and wore a dress of flow- cred silk chiflon, in a pastel shade o! green. Mr. Fred Mcnse, o! Free- town, cousin oi’ the groom, acted as best men. The ceremony was at- tended by the immediate relatives of both parties. That evening the bridal party wended their way to the home oi the bride, where a sumptu- ous wedding supper was served to about sixty-live relatives and friends of both bride and groom. On Thurs- day evening a hearty welcome was extended to Mr. and Mrs. Simmons to their home in Wilmot, where their many friends gathered to wish them every happiness. The bride wore a lovely dress oi’ rose colored satin, trimmed with steel cut beads. Mr. and Mrs. Simmons will reside in Wllmot Valley, where the groom is a prosperous iarmer. The bride and groom were the recipient oi many beautiiul and costly gifts.
