The patient died at his home, being wo ill to be taken to the Hospital. He lived for some honrs after the opera - tion. The case was not one of appendictis but what is known as invaginatiou of the bowel, causing complete obstruction, and necessarily fatal if let alone. The op- eration of itself was quite eueosssfnl, but after the operation the bowel was found partially gangrenous.
