I leave what educational. now, are you eager to resume formal studies? after all, Christmas and exams always creep up rather quickly on people. for those of you here at UPEI for the first time, we welcome you almost most of all. if the exuberance shown in last week's activities is any indication, your ’ EDI TOR’S DESK strength will be capable of combatting the legacy of ‘ apathy which past classes so carefully cultured. develop the courage to face every obstacle which springs up to catch you in your unawares. bear in mind that, although they often seem insurmountable, many see obstructions as necessary agents in strengthening character. so go to it, and bonne chance. do your best, but please, do not neglect pure and simple enjoyment. get involved with other people. join any number of the many clubs and organizations and events which this campus has to offer. organize your time to accommodate other interests. they will be successful only with your parti- cipation. enough high-falutin' talk for now. finally, the SUN is YOUR newspaper.v it is your duty to help it to become the mouth of UPEI. no matter‘ whether you have something to criticize or to praise, I the SUN is here for your intelligence.
