Ontario. signalling the start of production for Canada's newest industrial giant. The building of Oskvilie'a first car on Monday represents a triumph of engineering and con- struction ability. The first steel for the 32'.5 acre building - the lam- est in Canada under one roof -- was erected in May of i952, just a year ago. By the end of 1952 the shell of the main assembly building had been virtually completed. and in- stallation of equipment. was under- Way. Throughout the rest of the winter and early spring the other complicated machinery of the as- sembly lines were set in place, and on Monday the plant will begin turning out shiny new can.
