IN MEMORIAM ALBERT CURRAN On the morning of December 22 residents of Summerville. lear- ned with regret the passing of one of its oldest and most res-. pected residents, Albert Curran in his 88th. year. The late Mr. Curran was born in Pleasant Grove, P.E.I. and when a young man moved to Summerville and lived the rest of his life in this community. Although a semi-invalid for the past six years, he was still able to take a keen interest in activi- ties of the home and community. A few days previous to his death, he suffered a stroke from which he did not recover. During his illness, he was fre- quently visited by Fr. Gillis, and Fr. Cash who administered to Iliim the last Rites of the Catholic church. His wife, the former Alice Doyle, pre-deceased him 13 years -ago; also one da.ughter Florence died at the age of 3% years. There are left to mourn the memory of a kind and loving father, three daughters and one son: Mary, (Mrs. Joseph MacEa- chern, Websters Corner); Lucy, (Mrs. Rudolph Murnaghan,' Tar- antum); Florence (Mrs. Melvin Murnaghan, Tarantum); and Ber- tram on the home stead. Also_to mourn the loss is a niece, Anna (Mrs. Francis Jay Stougan Mass.) on whom from infancy, he bestowed a father’s loving care ;' one brother, Herbert, Dorchester. Mass., also survives and thirteen grand-children, and three great grand-children. The funeral took place Decem- ber 24th. to St. Joachims Church Vernon River where Requiem Mass was celebrated by Father Vincent, G. Murnaghan. Present in the ,Sanctuary were Fr. Urban Gillis and Fr. T. P. Butler. Interment was in the parish Cemetery where serivce was con- ducted by Fr. John Cash. The Pall-bearers were:- Harold Dunn, Francis P.
