WAGNII The funeral of the late Mr. Keith A. Wagner. largely attended, was held from his home on Feb. 28 to the Baptist Cemetery. West Devon. with service in the Church- of God. conducted by Rev. C. 0. Hewlett. A short service was held at the home and the hymn "Nearer My God to Thee" was sung. At. the church. "safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Abide With Me" were sung. The late Mr. Wagner was a vic- tim of a car accident nedr Delhi, Ont. The deceased passed away in the Norfolk General Hospital. Simcoe. Ont., on Feb. 24, at the early age of 25 years. He leaves to mourn, besides his sorrowing parents, four brothers: John of Bvrantford. Ont.: James, Kenneth and Leaman of Conway; (Olive) Mrs. Lawson Oatwey; (Pearl) Mrs. Walter smith of Conway; (Lucy) Mas. Gerald MacArthur of Wei- iington. The many beautiful floral trib- utes bore silent testimony of the esteem in which he was held. Pall bearers were Messrs. Ray- mond Miiilgan. Wymsn Wagner. Wesley Adams, Ivan Austin and Wilfred Campbell. all cousins of the deceased. Marshall invited members to their home for next meeting. OOFAVI PINEAU The Oommunity of Duvar and vicinity was shocked and sadden- ed to hear of the sudden death on Jan. 30 of Mrs. Octave Pineeu in her 54th year. The deceased had been receiving medical attention for some time but her condition was not con- sidered serious and it was while visiting her aged mother that she became suddenly ill. Medical help was immediately summoned but to no avail. and, surrounded by her family who had rushed to her side. she peacefully passed away. after having received at the hands of her pastor, Rev. M. J. Rooney, the last consoling rites of the Ro- man Catholic Church of which she was always a devout and con- stant member. Lena. as she was familiarly known by everyone. was the daughter of the late Alex Gallant and Mrs. Gallant of Duvar. Thirty- four years ago she was married to Octave Pineau. also of Duvsr, and here together they established their home and brought up a large family of twelve children all of whom are living and who will ever cherish the memory of the wonderful mother, who was ever zealous for their welfare. bringing them up to the best of her ability in a truly Christian home, In the community she will be sadly missed for, while her health -permitted. she was ever ready to take part in anything that was for its advancement. but it is in the home where she will be so deeply missed. There will be found the vacant chair and there will be remembered the sound of the voice that is now still. While on earth she served her God well and now she has ggne to her eternal reward. Mm Sm-rue was born at Mac- Noills Mills and had resided in Concord fur the past 30 years, seldom missing a year visiting her home. the late years making two and three trips to visit her aged parents and help take care of her invalid mother. her last visit being the month of May. Althoush Mrs. sprague had been in ailing health for sometime. it was not known till July 21. when she entered the hospital for an operation that there was no hope or her recovery. The first of the Year she took a turn for the worse and gradually grew weaker till She Passed to the great beyond on the above mentioned date. s. Sprague was always ready to help all members of her fam- ily. She was a lover of children. although not having any or her own. She took great pleasure in her nieces and nephews, all who are going to miss at losing daugh. ter. sister. and aunt. Surviving are her sol-rowing husband. her parents. Mr. and Mrs. John C. Milligan.
